Zhero, your psychology questions are invalid predictors of future performance.
You're asking open-ended questions that leave too much to individual interpretation; there is no basis for a metric by which you can evaluate whether someone would be skilled or unskilled, a good cultural fit or a bad cultural fit.

It's like going into an interview for the position of McDonald's manager and being asked "what is your favorite NFL team?" as the primary indicator of whether you would be a good manager or not.
(Of course, if the person's a Raiders fan, then... >.>; lol)

Your LS is only going to be as good as the members you can recruit, and I'm sure that your application has prevented solid members from applying/joining. If you insist on subjecting applicants to a battery of psychological questions, I suggest you get something better than these cubes and flowers questions.

Not the definitive best test, but a well-respected one:

Although, how you make decisions based on the results you receive are up to you.

I don't think it's arrogant to ask "getting to know you" type questions like that, but I think for the scope of your shell, it's rather pointless. Also, how many people are you taking and what tier is this? Any group of 18 people that have correct jobs and know how to play well should be able to clear any T1, but with that many it's a little pointless because there's no way you'll clear T3 consistently (probably even at all).

Its completely inconsistent, but we have more than 14, but we still go in because we likes to pwn stuff.

we've had 18, 22, 24, some weeks, but it takes me like almost 2hrs before the event to gather up stragglers for some more people. But then the next week, we dont have the same people on from the week before, and its fustrating to me that we have been 2 months into this and I still have to send out massive tells to people who arent gathering 1hr before go time.

You didnt pwn anything. going in with less than 20(unless you're ls is very skilled and good at lowman/have very good gear/skills) is suicide. Dont mean to sound like a douche, but you either need to get an iron grip and show people they cant win unless they show up on time, or just break the shell.

You need to mass recruit then once you've pretty much ensured yourself ~30+ members per run, then just start cutting members that never or rarely show up. After all, it's their fault for trying to take advantage of the freedom your system offers.

i have yet to beat a T3 with 18. least i did was 21, so good luck with that little amount of people for a kick off O_O

and to start off a successful einherjar LS, the best is try to get as near to 36 people as possible to start of a winning streak(T1 and T2 so people starts to stay because you "win" something), and then remove the trash one by one, making room to better players since you prolly have build up a good reputation by then and people will all apply w/o you advertising

i dunno why you come up with wierd flower questions tho. if you do that, people who apply will be thinking "wtf am i doing here"

    edit: yugl beat me!

    The Cube:

Picture a landscape ok, and then picture a cube, what color is this cube and what is it doing? Where is it in the landscape?

its multi coloured and is turning into a cone of chocolate icecream thats dripping all over the landscape and its under a larger burning sun in the landscape

Now Picture some flowers, what kind of flowers are they? Do you take care of them? How do you picture these flowers on the landscape?

i see pansis lots of them, no i dont care for pansies and there off to the side all alone and wilting

and no i also wouldnt apply if a shell had thoses questions either ... end of day its a game suposed to be fun not a psyc test unless i already had some good friends in there, also i would most probably leave too if teh leader started bitching cuz we wiped each week rather than pointin out what we did wrong what we could do better and making it more of a learning experiance rather than a rant and moan at how everyone else did bad.

personaly i never have liked einjar .. most probably cuz every time i entre my system seams to go into slow mo and or locks up both on pc and xbox 360 <.<

Dear god, I think that's the most arrogant, fucked up retarded question ever to have tarnished any kind of LS application form.

As has been previously stated, it's absurdly open ended and culturally determined how you would answer a question like that.

Furthermore, as anyone with any real professional background in psychology will tell you, personality tests in general are to be taken with a huge grain of salt, they might give a rough idea of a persons mentality, but can also be misleading/manipulated.
Not to mention, the very concept that a single question like that can give anything resembling a picture of a personality that would be useful for a 30 minute twice a week in game event is pretty fucking ridiculous.

Also; what you need at this point is skilled players who know game mechanics, and can work well together in a team and get along, and you're not going to be able to determine that with ONE pseudo-psychological question.

urrrghhh, all those "clever" people who have been to "weekend courses learning to profile personalities" w.out any professional background in psychology need to be hanged, shot and burned, preferably all at the same time.

    adding:
Ok, a bit overkill on the rant, but seriously, don't pretend to play shrink, and focus on recruitment and tactics to apply, try to be firm on time requirements and getting started relatively on time, and have preplanned jobs, party/alliance setups etc. etc.

I see many slightly transparent cube of multiple colors, each rotating within each other, these cubes all have a section missing in some fashion as though a negative shape intersected them. Oh wait, nevermind that was the matrix icon for a hacker thats now pushing up dasies in my shadowrun 4th game the other week.
