if you're playing online (ie started with the server average WT) and clear 2-1 and 2-2 with no body form deaths that should be plenty to get PWWT.

Just completed my first playthrough. My last leg was Old Monk, Black Phantom style. Dude got fucked up. He was turtling behind an Adjudicator Shield maxed out and a small, but fast weapon. 3 Swing cleavers when your on the ground is a bitch. Might dabble in N+, but I have Dues Ex to move on to tomorrow night. Once I beat that, Ill do a full N+ before Dark Souls

Personally I love the Old Monk fight, in particular being a BP. I've been running a Blessed GA+5/Adjudicator's+5 lately and that fight is hilarious. Just enter, put down a bunch of augite of guidance's in a line (much like breadcrumbs) around the corner and then go hide in the other corner. It's hilarious to see people come in, follow the shiny things on the floor then run up behind them and backstab them as they die in 1 hit, great great times.

Also, it only took me like maybe 12-15 hours for my most recent runthrough, this game seemed like 100x easier than before, even flamelurker went down 1v1 first time. Although the Dragon God fight got me a bit, never was much good at timing the running.

edit: also, if they do like they did last year then the month of october will be awesome for world tendency events. for the 1 year anniversary they did half of october as PWWT and half as PBWT, easy as fuck to get all of the things in the game out of the way (mostly the PWWT stuff, stupid WWT). Although at the point I would say my most hated part of the game was the 3x BP giant depraved ones in world 5, I can't remember if they were guarding istarelle or maybe just on the way to it or something but that was easily the hardest fight in my opinion.

The trick in this game is to never be in human form. After you beat a boss, climb up the nexus and jump off. Only thing human form is good for, is dying repeatedly to get black WT.

While I agree with you that soul form is superior, human form is also good for the hp boost and frees up a ring slot if you use that "+hp in soul form" one constantly like I did.

Eh, I do like Soul Form better, but didn't know about the whole killing self in Nexus deal.

Kind of getting used to this no magic/miracles play I'm doing. So far I've cleared 1-1/2/3/4, 2-1/2/3/4, 3-1 and it hasn't been -that- bad. Worst was Flame Lurker by far.

But after the comma made it sound like you thought there were situations where human form could be worth using. Which i disagree with. As long as you as you can survive one hit, your max hp is completely irrelevant, as you either won't be getting hit more than once in a row, or you suck too much to be playing DS.

They weren't BPs just 2 sets of 3 Giant Depraved.
And yeah, I hate Giant Depraved with a passion. I usually just get them stuck on terrain and shoot them. Though the ones guarding Istrella turns into me hitting one of them a few times then falling back, screaming like a little girl until I can get 2 of them killed.

Coulda sworn there was a pack of 3BP versions of them in PBWT, maybe not, either way I hate 5-x simply because I HAVE to go there for my blessed upgrades and istarelle/lsom if i want them, though this time I'm rolling with guillotine/GA/claymore/mirdan's +5 rather than a unique weapon. I'll give it to LSOM though, that shit is amazing in PvE and can catch lots of people offguard in PvP even though it's damage output and speed put it way behind other options overall.

Can't wait for Dark, the boss fights on youtube (boss fight?) already look like they're a real pain in the ass, but it sure as hell won't stop me from being awesome the entire game.

Although I had a dream about Dark last night, where when you rolled you had to stop first before you could do anything else (like lots of waittime after a roll) and it was just a dream of my dying repeatedly to some horrible scorpion monster.

Can't wait.

perhaps i was just there for something else in PBWT, istarelle kinda sucks anyway to be perfectly honest (after all the work i did for it i was wholly unsatisfied with its damage output even when looking at its defensive capabilities compared to most other weapons especially in the blessed tree)

what? at least you got to farm in 4-x, fuck farming anywhere else besides world 4, you got tons of fucking EXP and got to be summoned or fight BPs all day, which (as long as you didn't totally suck) meant tons of fucking souls across the board all the time, and if you were running any sort of dex build you had a bow which meant easy-mode for 4-x and most of the game in general, you got 1 free pure faintstone for having 20 faith and most weapons take 2, try farming in 5-x where everything hates you, poisons or plagues you and nothing takes less than 5 minutes to get to.
