I have a feeling that NPC would kick your ass, considering he goes away after the first boss and you can't level up until after the boss... so have fun fighting him at level 1.

I rescued Ostrava in 1-1 like 30 hours into my game. He never disappeared after the first boss. I just never went to the area he was at.

Also don't forget there is a magic attack bonus with the physical attack bonus with the demonbrand. The phys is 130 and magic is 110 at pure white which I have from killing so many invaders a week ago. The sword is overpowered. I was doing backstabs to people in 1-1 for 1k damage easily. And it did like 550 damage a hit on the boss of 3-1. That was without 2handing it.

But yeah, I was just saying its not that good if you have a black character tendency, and if you killed him for it... you probably are black character tendency. Oh and I still love my Dragon Bone Smasher, whenever someone invades me I use my axe to break their guard and then I switch to the Dragon Bone Smasher to knock them to the ground. Once on the ground they never get back up because I have the stamina to keep hitting them with it.

Yeah, I got that. I was just wondering if Insanecyclone meant that increasing your strength beyond the original requirement helped weapons more too.

I guess I'll just have to kill some black phantoms to fix my demonbrandt :<

Oh I'm sure it can be done, I just haven't seen it work yet. I've been invaded by archers a few times and they always get slaughtered. Most of them have no defensive gear and they don't have anything that can block effectively. Like I had one guy try to block my sword with a dagger... and I was using this.

Well that and I have a massive shield that makes arrows not hit me, so I just put my shield up while charging at them.

WHat class are you, I kinda would rather try that out first, that sword is fucking sick lol.

Any class can use it technically, but that sword requires 30 Str. I'm a Barbarian class btw. I guess it depends on your play style. The problem with arrows is blocking them drains no stamina from you unlike hits from any normal melee weapon (at least when you use a large shield, not sure about kite size). Like my entire strategy is to make someone stagger so I can land a critical hit. I use that sword and I purposely aim for the person guarding because most people can't stand up to more than 2 hits blocked from that sword without staggering. The best part is, with that weapon if the blocked hit makes them stagger they fall down and after that point I just keep smacking them as they try to get up(I know, its cheap as fuck). It's usually over in 2 swings once I have them on the ground.

Yeah, its +2 right now. I need to finish it. I really pissed off some mage recently when he invaded my game, he literally only had fire spells set. He never used Soul arrow once... and for those of you who don't know that sword makes you resist any form of fire attacks for the most part, (well that and my Purple flame shield+6).

Do you use the ring that increases your equipment burden for that stuff?

Yeah, I pretty much have to lol. I use that sword and Brushwood armor a lot. I want to get some better armor but Brushwood is the best I have right now.

I don't mind not getting better armor. I love how brushwood looks. I wanted to use the tower shield at least but it weighs too much and I don't want to limit myself to that ring. The dragon bone smasher seems cool but I think the dozer axe seems better for a heavy weapon.

Yeah Dozer axe probably is, I need to get that yet. Just dual wield Dozer Axe and Dragon Bone Smasher lol
