Ive been playing a thief, I like how agile they are, and I evade alot, really easy to land backstabs and such. I'll probably play a temple knight as well, but my god that starting spear is so annoying.

Seriously? The halberd is like the best weapon in the game for me. It also has the perfect attack for narrow areas if you just 2hand it there. They are quick and hurt like hell. Also perfect for hunting some lizards up close since its a downward attack.

Probably the main reason for me breezing through this game was that weapon. The 2handed R1 attack is also amazing in some pvp instances since its range is longer than it seems and its fast.

Just switch back and forth in narrow areas. Start with blocking with the shield and when you get an opening hit triangle and r1 quick then hit triangle and L1 again. Trust me, that weapon never let me down.

Although now I have a fully upgraded Moon Mirdan Hammer+5 which does the same thing except way more damage than my halberd +10.

Its definitely broken depending on when you get it. I kinda regret using it on 3-1 and 3-2 just because it made both far too easy.

Something tells me this would be a fucking short game if it weren't for the quick deaths and corpse runs.

Been playing dodge the dragon in 1-2 as I run naked for my life since I can't seem to find a way to run faster with full plate gear on. Is there a way to speed your overall movement up in full gear, or do I just have to tough it out? Been getting tired of taking this underground passage again and again each time I die because I can't make the 2nd part of the bridge in time. Not to mention running the 3rd part naked isn't helpful when there's a pile of archers and knights at the end who just slaughter me naked.

Got me a shitload of those rock things needed to upgrade weapons at least with all the times I've died. >.>

Is there a generally accepted order to the path of doing the stages? Essentially, is the difficulty set up where doing 1-1, 1-2, 1-3, etc is better than say, the X-1 of each area available, or is it all pretty open?

Been trying to save up 20k souls for that recall spell (teleports back to Nexus), but god that's going to be a bitch.

To run fast with equipment you need to increase your equipment burden (endurance I think). To run at naked like speeds your equipment burden needs to be 50% of your total or below, so like if your burden is 80 and you have 39 equiped, you run as fast as you would naked.

Thanks. Didn't think to put on my Herculean Ring earlier, able to outrun the fucking dragon now.

Can't wait to kill them later. Not often a game makes me hate something to death in it.

Yeah I never take mine off. I love using massive weapons like the dragon bone smasher and being able to do fast rolls.

The cling ring, equipment ring, and item ring are practically my left hand, right hand, and penis. I never go without them. Item ring is especially wonderful because you can just snap it on once you reach your maximum in items and just keep on farming.

So to get the last ring I need I apparently need pure black ct. So I started invading people. This is much more fun than I thought lol. I only lost once so far and its because some guy got a blue phantom to help him.

Its foe's ring and I'm only getting it for the trophy. I don't want to lose demonbrandt either but my moon mirdan hammer is nearly as good and will last me till I can camp black phantoms to raise my ct back to pure white again which I intend to do after getting the ring.

The key to demonbrandt is from ostrava. You have to do the quests where you rescue him once in 1-1,1-2 and 1-3 and you meet him in 1-4 and he gives it to you. However I've heard of people killing him themselves and getting the key off his dead body. Not 100% sure about this though.

What if you just challenge him to the fight but leave him alone? I assume it's just for the actual killing? Don't think I'll do that until I get like...really high up in the levels.
