maybe im doing something wrong, i cant take hits for sht & when i pvp it takes me 10 yrs to whittle down someones health even with direct hits. but then when i take one hit, its like my fucking arm fell off lol

Scimitars are weak versus heavy armor I thought, check the item description. I'm pretty sure curved swords like that can inflict bleed effect but they don't do good attacking heavy armor and everyone uses heavy armor.

Did you guys have any problems w/ Tower Knight? I just beat him today and I have to say he was fucking hard. Probably one of the hardest bosses I've faced in any game, not even exaggerating there. Im told he is a relative pushover compared to later bosses though. Bring it on I say.

lol He's a joke fight compared to most of them. I could do him blind folded probably. roll roll slash roll roll slash, light weapon on fire, slash slash slash when he's down.

I didnt get hit once, he goes down in like 35 arrows or so

I went in guns (sword?) blazing for Tower Knight. You know how you're supposed to slash his ankles so he will fall down and you can swing at his head? Well my sword did so much damage he died just from his legs being attacked..

Yeah I'm glad I only used it on 3-1 and 3-2 bosses. Made things way too easy but on the second playthrough it should be more challenging at least. My tower knight fight was probably one of the most fun. Since I was so low level and so weak. I didn't bother with the archers. I just dodged them while attacking his ankles and then his head. He only needed to fall once for me though. Didn't even know he got back up.

I couldn't beat it at first since i didn't know what to do, so i did a whole lot of runs as a phantom with other players until i learned every nook and cranny of 1-2, from where Ostrava was, the npc shop, the gecko, and every point of interest. Most people i went with couldn't beat the knight. But once i got my body back and summoned other players, i just steamed rolled through that shit. I will definitely do these kinds of runs from now on before taking on a boss.

Also had another invasion today while playing as someone's phantom. It was freaking hilarious. I have pretty much pure white tendency and I've been using the Demonbrandt. Someone invaded the game near the beginning of 1-4 so I used the Graverobber's ring and followed my summoner. The black phantom locked on to him immediately but I'm pretty sure he didn't see me. I pretty much did a long circle around him, ran up on his back and one-shotted him with a backstab. Felt gewd.

The knight wasn't too bad I found with Soul Arrow spam. Just have to comfortably take out the archers and get back into a good position. Once you're behind him he's done.

I bet as a melee it would be far more interesting.

It's one of the easiest bosses I've fought as melee. If you lock on, it's very simple to strafe around and take the ankles out quickly. Only things that really hit you are the quick back hop or him falling down if you're too slow. But neither hurt much.

So I'm still doing Temple Knight, is it better to be well rounded as far as str/dex, or just to do one or the other?

I see that this Halberd+6 turns into some giant axe, which I don't plan to use as I like weapons that give me distance, like the winged spear. However, the winged spears stats are different than the halberd as the stronger modifier is dex, and the final upgrade of that spear is also a dex mod. Just curious if being well rounded would be better (it would also allow me to wear the white bow down the road).

^ If you like using the spear, go for it and mod dex for more damage. Just make sure you wont regret it further on if you find a better weapon that isn't affected by dex as much.

Did pvp today as BP in 4-2 that was so fulfilling. Ran down past the host and his blue phantoms, even killing some enemies on the way so he could get to me faster. Stopped at the point with the first shadow that back stabs you if you aren't paying attention and waited for them to catch up to me. Held them off until the host was back stabbed, blue phantom turns around to see whats happened, back stabbed him, then the host rolled off of the edge and died.
