Let yourself get invaded in 1-4 and win. That will bring you to pure white wt. Make sure you ambush them and make sure you're prepared in doing it.

Ok I'm confused, so I'm trying to get the Demonbrand and I saved him in 1-1 1-2 1-3 and now in 1-4 he's just there as a Black Phantom. I didnt approach the black phantom version of himself but isnt he supposed to kill himself and give me the key?

Now that I've beat 1-1 the game has become a lot more fun. I've been farming a bit atm, can stand there and blast the Red Knight for quick cash. Should I do this for a bit or should I move on for the moment and get more money pretty soon?

I also heard the game gets harder as you level. Is that saying the game scales with you or just that the levels get harder? Please don't let this game scale.

Mobs don't scale, they just become assholes in future levels.

Sweet. I got a bit worried, I fucking hate games that scale. Makes farming and leveling seem useless.

As soon as you can Null, do 4-1 so you have access to 4-2. If you have to get someone to help, that's fine. A friend and I beat it today, we were levels 28/29 no problem. If you go in knowing what to do, it's easy. When you get access to 4-2, you have a favorite farming spot for a while. You can get about 5k souls in under 30 seconds or so, then rinse and repeat. I got about 360k souls in 2 hours. It's great, and still the game isn't a cakewalk.

Actually if you want, when I get home from the gym tomorrow, if you're anywhere between 28-38 or so, we can team up, and get you access. It's fun playing with people you know (even through a forum) rather than randoms. We can hook up on AIM or MSN to communicate. PM me if ya want.

Had my first extreme rage moment, Ber walked in front of the T.V while doing 4-1 and I lost all my farmings and died for the first time since the mandatory. You have to beat the level to get your soul back correct?

Sorry forgive my ignorance. Maybe its because I'm tired or I'm just stupid. Is it possible to go back and do a boss? Like for me to go back and do 1-1 to get it back? Or do I have to do a level I've never done.

Get to my level and we will have a duel..well if one of us gets a red eye stone anyway. But my hammer has range,speed and nearly the same power as the demonbrandt. The main difference is the extra 130 physical attack. My hammer has 143 physical and 160 magical.

To get your body back you need to either: kill a boss, help someone else kill a boss by using the blue soul gem, or kill another player as a black phantom using a black soul gem.

If he wasn't sitting at the stairs before the black phantom version, something messed up. Did you talk to him and receive his reward and was he in the nexus? From what I hear, you have to make sure he shows up in the nexus inbetween levels. If he isn't on the catwalk, something went wrong.

It seems like it's almost easier to just kill him to ensure that you get the Mausoleum key.

Yeah he isn't in the nexus, and he wasn't at the stairs. Just his Black Phantom was there. Fuckers going down in 1-1 on NG+.

Or use a stone of ephemoral eyes. In soul form you are stronger though.
