I need a weapon/shield recommendation.

I'm a 25'ish (lost track >.>) SL dude with Strength as the focus, using primarly blade weapons.

Been wielding that Mana-regen sword from 4-1 since it's magic dmg is fucking awesome against particular mobs, but I want something stronger than I can upgrade.

Beat 2-2 recently (got the boss stuck on a pillar, that was easy >.> , game has some real AI pathfinding issues), was disappointed in how bloody short it was, and have been trying to work on 3-1 but those fucking cthulu things keep landing that stun hex on me and one shotting me from there on.

Well when I defeated her, I actually killed her, I don't know if that made him now spawn after, or if it changed my WT. I killed him, then her, as I don't use guides and didn't know she kills herself.

Soul form, no selling, no bank for storing souls (money, not bosses), etc.

-You do more damage in soul form, its the better state to be in.
-No selling does nothing to make the game harder, in fact one could argue it makes it easier as you can alternatively store all your duplicates for future characters.
-Since when do games give you a bank to store your experience points?

k so I've been invading people trying to get black tendency. Invaded this guy three times but the last time I was just gonna kill his mobs so I bowed and he killed me. I guess I'm gonna have to show him who raped him again.

A guy I invaded in 1-4 flipped the fuck out in messages on me for killing things for him. He was solo fighting 2 of the 3 black phantoms at once, so I killed one for him instead of just attacking him while he was fighting 2 black phantoms.

Meet up with another player (within your level range) so you can drop and retrieve items in their world.. So, no, it isn't an advantage to store duplicates, unless you keep all your characters around level 20 or so.

Keeping in a corner isn't doing me much good when I waste about 5 arrows just trying to hit her form the very back (and sneaking to the front isn't good thanks to the pillars having huge collision boxes, making it hard to gauge where my arrow won't hit the invisible box), and that's ignoring all the arrows I waste when she clones, and it's a bitch trying to memorize those stun-hex locations. Guess I should just stock up on more arrows and take it slowly?

I just blazed through the 3-1 boss like she was a joke. I stayed on the right side of the room and used the pillars for cover. I used arrows to figure out which one was real; if she was close enough, I ran in with the spear, otherwise, I just shot more arrows.

Additionally, the real one will not have a healthbar when you target lock it...but you'll have to get close, and if you didn't kill all the dreglings in there, they will usually look and pray towards the real idol. There are no curse hexes on the sides of the room, use the sides to avoid hexes. Lastly, the front of the room is the safest... and it gets more dangerous as you go further back because you will get shot by multiple angles.

Yep.....what's the key nearby for him anyway? I know there's about 2-3 locked up NPCs that I've yet to find keys for.

The key opens Freke's cell.

The ball of zombie things drops a bit more than 1k souls and is actually a pretty easy kill. It can't really hit you if you stay on the other side of the pillars.

Thanks, right side worked better for 3-1 boss. I kept getting traps on the floor on the left side. Took her out no problem.

Now for the tedious act of taking out the red dragon since I want to maneuver better with fluted armor. On another note, I think I'm going to say fuck it to trying to WT my CT on first playthrough. Do NPCs carry over on NG+, or am I clear to not worry about some of them dying or not?

[EDIT] Damn, Clever Rat's Ring helped make mince-meat out of that dragon a lot quicker, time to get that ring under blue dragon now....

Aside from your stats, weapons and world tendency, you're basically starting over.

Happened yesterday, but I got summoned to be the boss of 3-3 for a guy. Ended up being an epic 6 minute dodge-fight since the bastard was spamming Soul Arrow on me and I was trying to get right up his ass to R2 a few times. Would have probably lost if it weren't for those floating fire orb things above me that triggered off randomly for bonus damage. Got the Monk hat too as a victory prize. >.>

I was surprised how lag-free the fighting was.


Oh nice, killing red dragon gave me enough WT to trigger the events for world 1.

the whole WT stuff made me play a bit offline; since I wanted to successfully farm the items... WT has been predictable with no issues tbh offline. It's really easy to get Pure white + Pure Black if you know what you are doing.

That reset thing annoyed me enough to fuck it. I think I'll go online for ng+.
