Do the starting stats matter a lot? That's why I'm considering Barbarian. Can I still use a Sword and Shield with heavy armor as a Barbarian?

This game looks amazing but sadly I am likely going to have to wait until closer to November before I can pick it up (thank you Midterms). I just hope that there is a strong storyline behind what appears to be a hack-and-slash style game. It looks very similar to Diablo II which is definitely a positive thing.

As far as the difficulty goes... it really depends on your play style. I like something with a challenge but then again there are games that make the curve a little steep. The 8-ring style battles in Last Remnant comes to mind, each battle was 30 minutes long and you could not save in between so if your died at the very end you were fucked.

This, Fallout 3 Collectors edition, Uncharted 2, Demon Souls, Really want brutal legend but, I think I will get a game fly subscription after looking at how many games I want to play in the future.

not to shit on your parade but just keep in mind that sometimes, TRU doesn't carry certain games, or won't get them in stock for a long time. I had a tough time picking out my 3 games for the B2G1 a year ago for that reason.

Maybe I'm just imagining it, but I played through the Asian version 5 times and I swear in the U.S. version the monsters have less HP and do less damage.

I started out as royal(the power play for starting out), and there's just monsters that die to one soul arrow that used to die to two.

And I got hit by the tower knight and it only took 1/5th my HP where it was 1/2 to 3/4 before. Asian copy is lent out atm so I can't check, but man, I'd be super pissed. I thought we got over the "wahwah game is2 hard for Americanz!" back in the 90s...

also, has anyone else noticed the change in difficulty? I was curious if they'd ninja change it too, so lemme know what you find out

Yeah Ive noticed that at some toys, but they already have demons souls here, and the one here always carries almost every game that come sout, even off the wall C titles for DS and Wii. I plan on just getting demon souls, ninja gaiden sigma 2and probably ODST or some shit, and returning ODST and getting borderlands and doing the same for dragon age on the other.

I was reading about that. How is the message-leaving system? Helpful? Useless? (or is it something completely different than what I'm thinking/misread information abotu the game?)

I don't know what tip I gave, but everytime someone recommends your tip that you've left behind it fills up your life bar. I get recommended maybe once every hour.

That sounds potentially helpful. I was asking because I read that it wasn't something you manually type out, but a preselected list of messages, and was wondering how specific or broad they are.

Message system works well within context of the game. Think of it more "Warning sprawled in blood" from the last guy who failed, more than like a built in strategy guide.

I watched the review video on gametrailers. Kinda looks slow... for those of you that are playing it, rate?! Are there classes? or sword/dagger/shield is all you got to choose from. My friend related it to a sort of PSO/FFXI mash up, eh eh?

Some of the messages are hilarious, like the one at the top of the castle at the part with the broken wall "Take a step foward" it has like 100 recommendations lol.

I get a lot of recommendations for the Glyph next to the blacksmith, it says "Run straight forward." People like it because it shows them that there are more NPCs located behind the pillars. However, one of the tips I left is spamming me with recommendations lately, kinda want to revisit all my messages to see how they're faring.

Playing a thief and the drop rate is ridiculous. In the second area before the Tower Knight boss, when the dragons come through and roast the enemies, 7/10 had an item on them. Hard as fuck to loot them without getting roasted yourself though.

Also sneak attack in this game is amazing.

But jokes aside, I have Not looked into this game at all, not Amped to buy it whatsoever, but It has a few things I like. Grinding. and Online Co-op
