Really don't need much. Could use a Pure Hardstone or a Chunk of Hardstone. But if you don't have either I don't mind just giving these to ya. Playing another game with my nephew atm anyway so you don't have to worry about leveling quick.

Also, had less chunks of hardstone then I expected, forgot I used some to upgrade a shortsword to +8 for morion. I still have the pure but only 2 chunks, that ok for the 5 cloud? Need anything else?

Don't get me wrong, this game is great and probably the most worthwhile for your $, but there is very little incentive for leveling up. However, that being said, I expect my break from this game won't be long.

Does Ostrava not show up in 1-3 if you've already beaten it? I assumed he would cos I didnt rescue him from 1-1 and 1-2 until the world was beaten... worked fine. However he never showed up at the gate in 1-3 to give me my pure clearstone

Yeah, that's what I was saying earlier. Theres a lot of leveling to do but it is so easy to obtain all the weapons and armor you need that leveling starts to seem useless. It's not like getting a higher level gives you an advantage in PVP either.

Celeras, I'm going to bed but tomorrow after work I will check to see if I have any of the items you need. Fairly certain I have quite a bit. Don't know about Ostrava as I've always gone strait to him. Didn't think you could really beat 1-3 without saving him sine he is waiting at the gate.

This is why I'm still on the fence about getting the game. There's no "third" game I absolutely want for this sale

For a free third game, Demon's Souls should not be passed up. I put around 70 Hours in between two characters.

I definitely think you need to plan ahead on stat building to build an even character because getting 99 str and 99 dex means you are already reaching level 230 with all of your other stats at 10-15 range.

I kind of like that it's hard to max out all your stats. I can definitely return to my old character and make improvements where I want to. It's not mindless grinding, some weapons are modified by your stats. So, yes more options and items are open to you around level 150.. but in order for those weapons to be great, you need to have the stats maxed out as much as you can.

And replay value is really good.. .. I have beaten the game 4 times.. between two characters.

He didnt show up on the first 1-3 playthrough because I didnt do the 1-1 and 1-2 rescues yet, and going back to the completed level after doing them didnt change anything Its no big deal though, I still have the play through once more to get the souls for some of the spells anyway, just wanted to have all the upgrades done so I could rush through

For the chunks of mercury stone, I farmed the 4 face bugs in the tower leading up to the old monk. It's a hell of a lot quicker than running down to the swamp considering they're seconds away from the Maneater arch stone.

Pro-tip of the day, completely forgot about those. Thanks, will be much easier now and I can get some spices from the phantoms while running :D

So is there a list somewhere, of the cheapest to upgrade weapons in order to achieve the full upgrades of each stone type? As far as I've seen the requirements are weapon based, and vary a little.

Dagger +3, Dagger+7, Shortsword+3, Shortsword+8. If I remember right, everything that cant be made from +0 weapons can be made from those four and are the cheapest. Can buy daggers/shortswords from the blacksmith in nexus town.

But you can also find some weapons like Crescent Falchion/Mercury Rapier around that have some of the word done already for you... but its the usually the higher mats that are the problem.

We should try pvp sometime since I think I'm around 162 or something. I do have a question about the red eye stone though.. does using that make you lose pure white ct?

Seems interesting. I can use scraping spear instead of my Mirdan Hammer. Your vit is really low for level 160. What stats did you level up exactly? My vit is like 79.

Dex Build, was gonna go STR max next. But most of the leveling from 120-160 was just pumping points into areas where I needed to fill out- endurance, mp, spell slots, etc. I am able to survive PVE with that vitality, but at that level, 160k souls seems like a lot to spend for 9health per level.. Meat cleaver seems godly at 99str/dex. Already does 432 dmg at 99 dex, 26str.. but it sure leaves you wide open for a long time.

I use my massive hp to avoid blocking. I'll let someone hit me till their stamina runs low then wail on them. Of course I usually see what they are using and if I can take the hits first.
