GL getting a pure bladestone from anyone, that stone is like.... retardedly impossible to get. I can only imagine the best way to get the achievement is just to have someone here drop one for you if they are nice enough.

So I started playing this the other day, and I love it. Thanks BG.

Now, I seem to have gotten myself stuck with some BT on 1-2, so I have to face the two black phantoms at the end -.- Should I just try to force the world into WT or is there a way to kill both phantoms? I'm only soul level 11, so I'm not really jacked. Also, if people want to add me on PSN, my ID is Jaybar3

I only need 2 more weapons to be done with all of the bronze trophies... does anyone have a bladestone or marrowstone weapon they can drop for me? I have every other weapon, so we can make a trade. I'm level 144.

I think I'm about done with this game. It was great for a couple of playthroughs. I don't see it to be too much more entertaining for another 400+ levels, even if it does get harder each time. I'll be selling my collector's edition on ebay, as it's going for almost 100 bucks, so I can make a quick buck off it.

I browsed through the wiki and because I'm still relatively new to playing this game, I haven't quite figured out all of the stats/descriptions of the items and armor/weapons in the game

can someone give me some kind of build-to list of what I should try to attain for end-game thief?

Don't build your stats around the character, build it around the weapons. If your a mage, go with mp regen weapons, or boost stats that affect your weapon dmg. The same goes for all setups.

Many weapons have modifiers, and once you find a weapon you like, look at what stats will modify that damage.

I don't know what you are expecting as an end-game thief, but luck is arguably a very unimportant stat. It affects only a few weapons, none that you would expect for a thief to use. Don't put anymore points into luck. However, for the most part, bows are dex. Big weapons are primarily strength, and secondarily dex. Ores you find in the game can change the additional effects of weapons, as well as change which stats modify your dmg. (ex. Sharp weapon makes Dex have a "S" ranking.. meaning your weapon is heavily modified by having a higher dex.

I recommend just playing through without a game plan for your first character, you don't want to play a game worrying about the perfect setup.. because, well, let's be honest.. there is no 'end-game' for Demon's Souls. You will always be PVPing or Partying up with people at similar levels for you.If anything, you want every stat point or every weapon you use to fit to the style of your play.. and your style of play will evolve over time. Are you moving too slow? Wear lighter armor or find a ring that lets you wear heavier equipment. Are you attacking fast, but hate the damage? Hate your low HP? Pump points into vitality. Adjust accordingly.

The only thing I do stress is don't waste points in Luck. If you are just beginning, you may want to start over.. but I don't think it's entirely necessary. You picked thief because you like the style of thief. Small weapons, move faster, attack faster and use lighter gear. You can adopt that playstyle without having too much of a problem, but I gaurantee you will make changes as you play.. and that's just one thing that makes this game fun.

Have fun! Remember to use your blue eye stones if you're stuck. And your black eye stones if you want a human challenger!

Yeah luck is worthless for the most part. If you're thinking of doing it for drops don't. I've gotten every drop I need with 8 luck. Pretty much everything Kwiji said is spot on.

On another note, I made a new character specifically for killing invaders since I seem to get great amusement out of it and its just way too much fun. Especially when people who don't know how to build their characters around their weapons invade me. I've had maybe 4 people total who have had strong builds invade me. But I have a huge advantage over everyone else in my level range since I have a crushing halberd +5 and the demonbrandt already at level 30.

Last guy to invade me had some greatsword that couldn't even get me to half of my life with 5 free hits I gave him before I decided to kill him in 2.

Nothing really ever stands out, tbh. That's why I recommended to just play. You will find something you like. There is no optimal set of armor or weapons, it depends on your play style. However, Mirdan Hammer is h4x.

I like Northern Regalia's damage, but it is very slow and clunky. I also like Meat Cleaver, but I'm wide open for a full second after I swing once. Some weapons are just plain bad on world 2... You have to adjust and find your stride. There is no ultima weapons in this game, or adaman hauberks (lol, quit ffxi early.. there is no morrigan armors, is that better?)

The game is simply not about loot. You can have same setup as someone else, but chances are one of you is better than the other. It's more.. skill.

Yeah, just play the game, try different weapons and see what you like. Once you've finished 1-1, you can go any direction you want; the class you picked stops mattering.

God Blind fking sucks, figured it could be good cos of the dex mod. Swapped it out on a Stone run backwards from 3-3 and tryed it out on BP Medusa. Full Stamina bar worth of chain swinging(10-11 hits maybe?) did less than a single swing of northern regalia, was doing like 30/hit. The speed doesnt mean shit if its gonna be that weak, but ill have to test on something that isnt a BP to make sure it wasnt susceptible to the magic portion of regalia.

If its gonna be that bad maybe I'll upgrade Penetrating Sword for my 1-hander instead.

I've gotten mail from 3 invaders in the past 2 days. But its all asking for advice and whatnot.

Also I'm wondering.. if you're on your first run through the game and you're level 20 and invite a bp to help you with the spider boss, do you get mad and rate him low for killing it too fast? I was really just trying to get my body back quick which earned me a C for killing the spider boss in 4 hits...

How do you mail someone you invaded, just hope their character is the same name as their PSN account?

And seriously, another playthrough, another non-Pure Moonlightstone drop. Anybody want to make a trade or drop the +5 weapon for me? Getting ridiculous now, I'm on NG+6.

I'll trade you if you give it right back. Its one of my main weapons on my main character. Also just go into players met on your psn stuff and they will appear there. I never mail anyone randomly unless its a compliment from being so impressed by whatever they did online. Hate mail on psn is lol.

Oh and I think my main char is 170 or close to it.

Not sure if Demon's Souls makes use of it, but the player may be listed under the "Players Met" option near the top of the Friends List.

I really want this game. I'm curious though, how long does the game take approx. to finish it? Is there a lot of replay value?

It is mostly replay value. With over 100 hours I'm not even 1/6 to the level cap. But it all depends on how far you want to take it since its an online PVP game as well.
