Well, given I already did the hard part, I may as well go with the sword of searching at this rate to help with the rest of the lizards for this playthrough. Need the sword anyway for that one gold trophy. I guess I'll just change my focus around on how I'll be distributing the boss souls for the first playthrough, balance what I need to assist me (miracles) vs. what I could use for a trophy.

This game is like a friggen MMO, I can't remember the last time I played a game where I've been getting as much information about it as I can off the net, rather than learning it all myself.

how do i get the greatsword that is on the left side on the dragon god fight? if i kill the dragon do i miss the chance of getting it?

It'll still be available after the fight. You need pure white WT to get it though, which means if you've killed the dragon god and still don't have pure white it probably isn't gonna happen, or at least not easily.

in the world tendency map the stonefang tunnel is glowing white, is this what you mean pure white? i still dont understand world tendency.

There are seven tiers of world tendency:
Pure White
White
Neutral x3
Black
Pure Black

If it's glowing white it's either white or pure white, the only way to know for sure is if a world tendency event opens up. If it was already glowing white, then you killed the dragon god, that should've bumped you up to pure white and you can go back and get the sword.

Is it me, or is the best means of dealing with lizards being thief's ring + distance + White bow?

Seems half the time I try to kill them via melee, they either:
a) See me ahead of time and disappear come the first strike
b) I swing to strike but I keep missing due to their tiny height/sword-bounces-off-something
c) Run off a cliff to their death, along with the loot, and me with it.
d) I kill it near a cliff and accidentally kick its ragdoll off the cliff. (glad that wasn't my game when I accidently did that >.> Ain't I such a helpful Blue Phantom)

Am able to one-shot the ones in worlds 1 through 3 so far after doing some ore farming, hopefully the same can be said for worlds 4 & 5 at this point.

If your having trouble 1 shotting lizards, use Morion blade in your offhand along with a clever rat ring. You'll pretty much have to do this to 1 shot them with a bow in NG+ with black tendency. Another way to do it is to just fire 2 arrows as fast as you can since the first will always knock them on their back, and if you wait to see if the first arrow hits before firing it'll most likely escape. Best to go with the first option though.

With Lizards I always used the lava bow. The fire makes them wiggle on the ground for a long time before they recover and run compared to just hitting them with a normal arrow.

I just bought demon soul's but for some reason the game shows black and white no colour (only game that does that) is that normal , or is something wrong?

And has anyone found a decent way to get cloudstone chunks? I've gotten upwards of 2m souls grinding in 4-3 with a Sword of Searching with black tendency and have seen 3 chunks total compared to 99 shards (and I've probably tossed out another 100+ since). Very annoying also since half the time the mantas drop anything it lands in a spot that's impossible to reach, but no other areas come to mind where you could farm them in 4-1 or 4-2.

That's honestly the only way I know of to get them aside from the random treasures found along the way. I'm on NG+ and still don't have enough chunks on this character (started over but with a male character ugh, forgot about silver bracelets). That's been my starting point for soul farming and yet it's always 3 damn shards instead of a single chunk when I'm in black tendency.

Yeah it's the last upgrade I need. I've spent probably around twice as much time farming for cloudstones than I did for pure bladestone or marrowstone chunks, and I still don't even have half the amount I need

I went 99+ shards before seeing one chunk, and in the end decided to just get the two chunks on the dead body in 4-3 every NG. If you're trying to platinum with one character it takes four playthroughs anyway, and NG++ and on is very fast. I was able to get my platinum trophy on the fourth NG, although I did need the one chunk I managed to get to drop. I upgraded the heater shield you find in 2-2, it takes 9 chunks total to get it to +5.

how long it took you guys to get the pure bladestone ore? damn thing is anoying to get then again i dont mind the souls i get to lvl up.

Took me 4 hours on the black skeleton in the hidden path.

About an hour and a half on the black phantom one going backwards from the Old Hero.

the black phantoms are the skeletons with red eyes? they are the only one that drops them?

Yeah the ones in 4-2 only and you need pure black wt for it to even drop off the black skeleton from what I heard.

from what i remember, there's only 1 in 4-2? or more pop in pure black wt
