They totally used to do that, though.
And recently they told me with Batman, "That's gonna be a hard game to get your hands on, better pre-order!"
and it was a hard game, we sold out several times.
interest is gauged based on preorders. you think you dont have to preorder but the more people that do that the less they're going to have on hand and then its harder to find. and honestly im glad its this way cause i hate the tons of extras i have from some really old games
So what's the deal with stat upgrades in this game? I have some souls stockpiled after 1-1 and go to upgrade, I'm playing Wanderer. Dexterity is my highest stat(15). I go to upgrade, and it looks like the following:
Attack 92 -> 92
Some bullshit 0 -> 0
Physical Defense X2-> X4
Most stats are the same, the higher ones anyway. Like I gained next to nothing from boosting them. Ended up just dumping everything into faith cos it affected tons of crap in actual decent sized proportions.
So I got pissed off at dying a lot as a Theif and remade another character as a Knight and this is so much better.
I didn't open the right gate side, only went through the one with the soul form ring, and the dragons didn't appear so I went to the spot with all the dead guys and got a tower shield and souls. Is that normal or a glitch either way it makes it easier for me this time.
Pumping all my stat boosts into Vitality, Endurance, Faith, Strength, and Dex.
I did Barbarian and the game is pretty much cake after I managed to get some armor(It was pretty rough until that point). Right now I'm using a Purple Flame Shield+1 (that giant purple shield) and a Battle Axe+4 with plate armor.
Kazen, what's your soul lvl? Maybe I can meet you in a level you're on. What level you doing?
right now I'm level 24, I'm just farming souls right now as soon as I get back to town I'll be 25. The last thing I killed was the giant knight guy in 1-2 with the huge shield.
I'm Lv38, maybe too high. Kinda want to know what range it allows Coop. Let me know what area you go into next after leaving nexus. I'll jump into a body and try to put down a soul sign for you.
Gonna try to invade some one. Are you farming those two blue eye knights near the big guard boss? If so, gonna try to invade you. Just to see if it lets me.
How do you invade someone's place?
Alright 1 sec, I'm running back to the nexus now.
Ok I'm back at the Nexus, I can do the Phalanx Archstone or the one on the other side I havent started, the Valley of Defilement.
I don't think I can interact with you because of your level. Kinda sucks. Might start over, since I know the good places to go. Won't even let me invade fools. Just catch up I guess, lol. Gonna jump in other worlds and try to invade.
If I lose an invasion, I lose a level, so that might help me out!
lol I have so many healing items from soul farming. 76 crescent moon grass, 62 half moon grass, 32 late moon grass, 16 full moon grass, 3 dark moon grass.
lol, finally invaded someone, and i fell off a cliff.. lost Lv22 strength.
How does that work? Can you just get it back or is it locked for good? I mean if its just losing a level you can get back that doesn't seem like a big deal.
Is it the last thing you upgraded you lose?
The pre-order crap reminds me of this...
Penny Arcade - No I did not pre-order it
Seriously, I just buy games on the internet now, and rarely do I give a shit if I get them on the release date, but there are times I do.
Biggest problem is that if you're one of the people must have it day one, there's been a history of pre-orders getting fucked. You pre-order with GS and their shipment comes in late for whatever reason. You've already got 10 bucks into a copy at GS, meanwhile, Best Buy across the street has 10 copies just sitting on a shelf and your hands are tied.
Maybe if things are as different as you say this is no longer an issue because nobody is stocking the games, but I'm not convinced. On release day I have no trouble finding copies of most games at a Best Buy in high supply. Why would I risk shackling myself to my pre-order at any store for any reason unless the game it terrible obscure or some shit. Hell, I remember even getting ToAU off the shelf at Best Buy back in the day in a relatively tiny little in east Texas.
I need to level up my strength so I can use a bow to kill Red Dragon, whats the best extremely early soul farm?
