So I accidently consumed the 1-2 Tower Knight Soul before I gave it to Sage Freke. Am I screwed? Or is it possible to finish the game without it?

I did the same thing. You'll be fine. I've never used the spell that it gives you anyway so don't worry. The shield you get from that boss is pretty impractical to use unless you plan on taking Endurance to like 60 or something.

Are there any Bosses souls that I really should trade in rather than consume? Looking at some of the items rewards, they look pretty shitty. I'd rather have 2-3 soul levels over something like a lava bow.

You can beat the game without that spell. I think the only place I really used that spell was 4-2 and 4-3.

If you aren't going for trophies and are only plan on beating the game once then the only ones you might want to trade are flamelurker, leechmonger (if you're ok with cheap boss kills) and old hero's.

yeah, and howie, as explained to me earlier, killing the real/body form of someone doesn't remove their black phantom. so you can kill satsuki and still go back for gripless from his black phantom.

what? I love my lava bow; I don't have crazy dex and lava bow doesn't need high dex modifiers. I use 2 heavy arrows on the black phantom in 4-2 for soul farming with it, it's really great for magic users whose stats are otherwise invested

ever since farming 4-2 I've gotten less attached to my souls I hold, but then again I rarely hold more than 12k (my levels are 25k now, if I get that much I level with it)

I will say I am thankful I bought a bunch of cheap Fresh Spice off the singing lady before I got sloppy on the 3rd bell ringer in that section that needs the key from 3-2


also, the DS wiki mentions a few primeval demon's that spawn in PBWT -1, how do get it juuust less than pure black during this event?

I thought the door to the left of 1-1 entrance was supposed to let me in during the black tendency valentine event. It's still closed for me and my WT map is pretty dark <.<

It should be essentially black before it opens. And by black, I mean black, with nary a hint of shading on the archstone's graphic.

Lemme say that I love this game, but I kinda get the feeling I'm missing out on some of the awesomeness. I've tried not to read too many walkthroughs or guides, so as not to spoil the difficulty. Should I just keep plugging through, and worry about extra shit later? I'm about soul level 50 now (balanced build, testing shit out), using a combination of sword and board and spells.

So where do I go in 3-2 after I have dropped that big blob thingy? I destroyed both of the chains so the blob dropped, but now I'm confused on where to go next.

Go to the main tower, hang a left up the staircase, and keep following around the next floor clockwise around the tower until you reach another staircase that goes up a good 15 floors distance.

I fucking hated 3-2. Too many narrow ledges, and no shortcuts at all to specific locations other than the boss.

Also be careful with the black phantom tentacle face witch thing while climbing the stairs to maneater, not any place to hide like when you fought the earlier one. If you have a weapon that can knock it on the ground then just keep doing that and keep it down

What i did was rush it while it was walking away to get the critical back stab on it. Then while it's recovering i try to wail on it before it gets the chance to kill me.

I got a couple of WWT things while i play(this is my first playthrough.) I think if you dont plan on trying full black then just play the game as normal. Maybe get all the cool weapons you might want then worry about PWWT and possible Pure Black after you beat the game lol
