Yeah, the one thing I really hate about dueling is that 90% of people use either duel katanas, cursed crushing great axe, or blueblood sword.

i rejoiced when i saw a blueblood sword. every last phantom to invade me (always on freaking SoS - soul farming section) was a dragon bone smasher whore. really... nothing else... ever... i finally started logging out it just got old.

when i didn't log out i would just swap over to Blind and annoy them until they left. my character was always fast and able to move so using the lol ass blind seemed right

I also got bored of the PVP which is why I stopped playing. Laggers using the DBS(Keel Smasher) or doing push combo's on the katana just got old, as well as the long sword combo-lock. For awhile I was enjoying trying to combo lock people with a knife/knuckles or playing around with great axe on my mage, but fun battles got few and far between.

PvP is only decent if you twink yourself out at a lower level and keep around there. The higher you get, the more cookie-cutter players get as the boss-soul upgrade weapons become more easily acquired. Awesome to invade as mage before every melee build has the anti-magic spell handy.

I used to use a magic Falchion to whittle down people's Stamina then start hammering away with a big weapon and keep trying to break their guard. I haven't played this game in so long though that I'm sure the PVP has changed.

I'd just exit to XMB to force myself out of the game rather than dealing with trying to time the run with latency added into the mix.

If you really want to delevel black phantoms, then head to 4-2 or 3-2 with a storm ruler. The knockback on that thing is ridiculous and it swings fast compared to other knockback weapons.

did any of you ever use the moonlight sword? you know.. the GS you get from the slugs? i wanted to but never got around to it.. i had one used against me to great effect once though so what if any are your thoughts?

It attacks too slow for my taste, but it's awesome against players who don't realize it deals only magical damage and completely ignores shields.

It's not bad, and it has far more damage compared to the other weapon that ignores shields, Blind. However, if you face off against anything with decent magic defense you can't really do anything, and you do very little damage against other faith users in PvP scenarios. Dark silver shield also adds a lot of magic defense and is relatively common, again hampering its usefulness. Personally I prefer the Claymore because of it's huge range, but in the right situations the LSoM is still a great weapon, and it's one of the best weapons in the game for killing people who turtle a lot.

World 5-1. Nothing pisses a player off more than using Gods' Wrath and knocking them off the map to their death.

Do 2.2 so you can turn in flamelurker's soul to the blacksmith and upgrade good weapons.

I do 1-1 1-2 2-1 2-2 2-3 and from there it doesn't matter.

doing 2-1 2-2 and 2-3 as soon as possible is always the best route though, simply because all 3 bosses have easy to exploit pathing issues that means you never get hit(except 2-3 which is just that way by design), so beating all 3 gives you enough of a power boost to do the rest easier.

I always aim for getting 4-1 out of the way asap so I can begin soul farming the start of 4-2 once I obtain the White and an appropriate level of DEX to fully wield it.

on the monk boss fight when the monk summons an other player in how many of you guys just stand there and wait until the player leaves?

Normally I'd ask Quannum but he's not online atm so... can I go back to the bosses lair after 3-1 or do I have to do 3-1 all over again?... I went to grab the baby's nail but was too close to the altar and get the CS. And can I use the teleport spell in boss fights if I have to go 3-1 again.
