Trade the Brass Telescope? Surely you jest, I love that fucking thing. Zooming in on ALL of your shit.
Just grab the Fragrant Ring from 3-2 in the blood marsh.
Telescope does exactly same thing as the sniping mode with a bow, just without having to take up a weapon slot. It's hardly unique, IMO.
Are people here staying around SL120? It seems pretty common on the wiki that I've been reading. I haven't done any invading/assisting yet, but I'll probably give it a try once I'm finished farming Primeval Demons on NG+.
My SL120, DEX99 build absolutely wrecks things in NG/NG+ with Clever Rat's and Morion Blade, but I don't think it'll have much success in PvP, with only 20 END and VIT. It exemplifies the concept of 'glass cannon'.
I was 120 but I lvled up to catch up to Metah for us to discover we didn't need each other's help anymore. lol
Going hypermode with max DEX, no wonder you wreck everything. You would easily beat any opponent with a Sharp weapon or S rank unique DEX weapon, even if you had medium-low stamina. Just gotta get good with dodges, although when it comes right down to it, sometimes lag makes dodging and fighting just fucking ridiculous. I remember one time I was attacking my opponent and he was blocking, then I just died out of nowhere. Turns out he comboed me a few seconds earlier on his side of the game. And my PS3 is wired internet.
Edit: Also, you can just use the brass telescope instead of having to use an item slot lol
Yeah. My weapons of choice are typically a Sharp Uchigatana +5 and a Sticky Compound Long Bow +5. I'm at 4/5 on a Hiltless upgrade. I'm not sure if it will be better than the Uchi; I haven't been able to find good info on it... As it stands it's pretty close, so I imagine the last level will allow it to surpass it by a fair margin.
I don't think my typical play style will hold up in PvP. I tend to abuse the Thief's Ring and the computer AI. There is going to be a pretty big learning curve there, I think.
Thief's Ring can be very valuable for PVP, just make sure you aren't equipped with things like Regen, MP Regen, Eternal Warrior's Ring, Dark Silver Shield or items similar to that (the magic defense increase has an aura), Clever Rat's or Dull Rat's ring when in effect, because even if you're invisible they'll still see the aura. Its good for hiding and surprising your opponent. Don't forget that Cloak and Hidden Soul stack, making it EXTREMELY effective against black phantoms. Cloak and Graverobber's Ring also stack, and Thief's Ring with Hidden Soul, and Thief's Ring with Graverobber's Ring. Other combinations have no improved effect.
I will be making a new character if anyone wants to party with me through the game a bit. It will be a mage type character, since I have already played with a melee-type and a faith-type.
I'll start over as well just hit me up on AIM or here I guess....or PSN haha
I've been def toying around with making a new char.
Well me and Haiko were playing last night. I'm SL 22 on my new character. If you're 10-34 you can party with us. I'm free tonight, or if you happen to have a character that level, I'm good to party a few hours before work. Add my PSN sometime: Nintendium
My royal is 34 and I had planned on leveling her up into a mage/melee hybrid
Sweet. Me and Haiko should be in level range to party with you. I think we're gonna play around 11:30 or so MST, if you're free then you're welcome to join us. My PSN is in a post above
im SL 20 and i would love to play with you guys, this is my first character so bear with meadd me or i will add you later when i can get on
So, I finally got this game. I'm about an hour in and loving it so far.
My friend has been watching and wants it now lol. We were talking about co-op'ing it but we're not sure how the Blue Eye Stone thing works. Are you able to use the stone an infinite amount of times or do you have to keep farming them?
One of you guys have to be in Soul Form to use the Blue Eye Stone.
http://demonssouls.wikidot.com/
Read it.
Can use them an infinite number of times, and here's the jist of how it works if my mind serves me right:
-One player has to be living, one has to be in soul form
-Both players have to be within 10 levels of each other under lvl100 iirc, after that it's within 20 levels
-Player in soul form lays their blue eye stone (it's non-consumable) in the level the living player hasn't beaten yet.
-Living player has to look in the spot the soul form player laid their stone, and pick it up to have them join you.
-If either of you die, you have to repeat the process above again, and if the living player dies and heads to soul form, one of the two of you have to regain your body before reattempting.
-Soul form player gains their body back after killing a boss (and I don't believe they get 'credit' for killing it as far as their own progress goes), so he or you will have to sacrifice themselves (preferably in the nexus where there's no world tendency penalty for suicide) to head back to soul form to act as the recipient to join the living player's game.
Alright, cool. Thanks for the explanation.
Also, thanks for the site.
Another thing I've been wondering is if you're able to go back and fight that Tutorial boss(big troll looking thing with an axe, I think.) That guy kicked my ass pretty bad 'cause I didn't really have all the control/movements down, and I want some revenge lol.
Eh these probably aren't spoilers, but just incase you're the sensitive type![]()
