Kimbo's a fucking human. He's a regular dude reaching the end of his career. (what is he, like 45?) The only thing different about him was his story.

He's 34..... I may have put my point across in the wrong way, I do NOT believe he honestly threw the fight, I'm just in disbelief that such a small punch and pitiful flurry of punches knocked him out. Stunned yes, KO'd perhaps not I would've liked to see him get fully mounted then see what would've happened =(

Read what you just said.... Last time I checked its called a Technical KNOCK OUT not a Technical ROCKED ENOUGH. I think if he had attempted to mount him Kimbo would've come to, but meh I'm just sore because it was overhyped and ended so damned quickly. If it would've gone 2 rounds with blows between the two and Kimbo got KO'd in the same fashion I don't think any of us would be complaining.

Its cute seeing and hearing comments on how the ref should not have stepped in...(Not so much on these board, but especially at the event I was at tonight) You let your arms go down for more then 2-3 hits and the refs call it for a reason. They aren't stupid, and having a ref to take care of you like that can prevent serious damage. I counted nearly double digits in swings and if at least 1/2 of those connected unprotected like I saw, then ya, kimbo was in trouble. If it were to continue, it could have been even messier and then we would've had a worse situation on our hands. Its simple fundamentals, you do NOT let your guard down and show lack of regard for your own protection when you are down, no matter how much you think you can take. A good ref WILL call it out and you WILL lose.

Kimbo could be a serious contender in the MMA ring. He has potential. But he isn't ready for serious fights, and there are more then just "bandwagoning" reasons he lacks respect within hardcore MMA fighters and fans. Losing to a fundamental defensive situation like tonight only amplifies that....

Exactly. Kimbo currled up in the fetal position almost immeditally. If they didn't call it Kimbo would have been a bloody pulp on the mat. Yeah he was able to get up afterwords and talk...but only because the refs mercy ruled him.
