Dark Elemental: Which plate to start it with?

Hello, folks. I'm new to Pankration, and I'm going to start things off with a Dark Elemental. While I understand that having an innate Damage Resistance Bonus is the best thing one can ask for (if my BG research has served me well), these are the plates that I have:

    Magic Attack Bonus, FP:30
    Darkness Attack Bonus, FP:17
    Additional Darkness Damage, FP:47
Darkness Bonus / Light Penalty, FP:8

I'm assuming the MAB is the best, but if it's not, please advise. Thanks in advance!

Any of those plates can end up having any random innate ability/abilities, or nothing. Having the ability on the plate doesn't mean you will get it. Just go take stacks of pics of the mob you're interested in, and keep turnign em in until you get one that suits your needs. Usually about 1 in 24 is a good one, and about 1 in 100 is "z0mgawesome".

I personally follow the "zeni rules" take my mob to 1% and snap 24 shots at a time, but I use HQ plates/camera for pets rather than the NQ plates and mixed cameras I'd use on zeni NM, idk if there's a difference, but I usually get 90% innates, half of those having doubel innates.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks. I did follow the Zeni rules, but I didn't know that any plates can provide any abilities. I think I'll just use the MAB one, then. Once I get to know Pankration better, I'll go hunting for a superior specimen.
