I love seeing Pens fans saying basically the same things I said way back when this thread was started. Fuck the pens

Boston really controlled the last two periods tonight. It'll be interesting to see how the rematch plays out in Boston in a few days. It has trap game written all over it since the Bruins play back-to-back, have a day off, then play Philly again before San Jose comes to town. The combination of being tired plus looking ahead to the Sharks could make for an ugly game on Saturday.
Good game last night. Down 3-0 at the beginning of the third, come back and win it in OT. As to Crosby's attitude, I don't really have a problem with it as long as he's putting points on the board and the Pens are winning games. The problem is when you start losing a lot, everyone starts looking for little things to harp on. I like watching Cooke play because he is in the same vein as Jarrko Ruutu, minus all the stupid penalties. He drew Gary Roberts into taking a horrid penalty last night which let the Pens tie it up. Last night's game though was simply Malkin putting the team on his shoulders and taking control of the game.
And good call on the revival of the thread by the way.
With trade deadline coming up I've got to ask who everyone thinks is expendable on their team. Who is going to be trade bait? Who do you think your team should trade for?
For the Canucks, I think Mason Raymond, Shane O'Brien, and possibly Mattias Ohlund are all possible trade bait. Our D is looking kinda iffy these days so I'd like to see them enter the Bouwmester sweepstakes. We could use a super star D man. My father is convinced we're going to get Havlat, not sure if I see it happening but it's been a rumour up here for awhile.
Western Conference possibilities
Eastern Conference possibilities
Christ Ohlund still plays for Vancouver? That guy has been around forever.
Yeah dude, he's played for Vancouver for 11 years now. It's crazy to talk about him being traded when some of our other d-men have been really sub par lately(Im looking at you Bieksa). But Ohlund, the sedins and Burrows are going to be a free agents next year and I just don't think there is going to be enough money to go around. So they'll probably trade him now while they can get something.
It sucks because I like Ohlund he's a good guy but damn has he been pulling some bad penalties lately.
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Bieksa really young still? 18 or 19? I'm sure he's going to hit some snags along the way. But if your boys lose the Sedins, it's going to be very ugly in Vancouver.
Bieksa is 27. He had one really good year two or three seasons ago which got him a nice contract but he's never gotten back to that level. He's been really bad at give aways and getting out of our zone this year. I'd like to see him really pick it up but it hasn't happened yet.
Boston definitely outplayed them in the third. They did have more offensive zone time in 2nd, but i can't really say the Flyers were outplayed in that period. They were pretty sound defensively. But having Richards and Coburn out finally caught up to them in the third. Boston is a good team. They played a sound game and simply beat us at our own game. Im lookin forward to the rematch on saturday
Then who the hell am I thinking of. I'm usually not that far off when it comes to players. Now I'm going to find who the hell I was thinking about.
It was Luca Sbisa for the Flyers I was thinking of.
I just wanted to take this opportunity to say that Thomas Vanek is a fucking beast. 4th natural hat trick yesterday, his 5th hat trick overall.
Devils look like they are making a slow but steady climb in the future, and I honestly think Brodeur getting injured had some positive sides, forced them to become a more well rounded team and they are doing a lot better than I thought they would be right now.
Rangers might give Sean Avery another chance
He did alright with the Rangers, be curious to see how the other players would treat him.
I like what Sean Avery brings to a team, but when there were rumors going around after his publicity stunt with the sloppy seconds that he might be coming to Pittsburgh, all I could think was nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo o ooooooooo oooooooooooo!!!
Speaking of those Rangers...

I want NO PART of Avery coming back. But this season is quickly unraveling for the Rangers, so it wouldn't surprise me in the least. At this rate they are either going to just play their way out of the playoffs (I'd almost prefer this) or they're going to just get in, and get embarrassed. Really, fuck my team lol.
Latly i have been deceived by the habs performance. I am kinda scared on their playoff chance latly
