Montreal looked brutal tonight. Good game though.
Edit: FUCK YEAH! Canucks dominated Chicago for the first 30 minutes. They looked very good. I hope they can continue this type of play.

no? they didn't play that good against leafs tonight
I'm stuck at work from 12pm to 8pm. So I get to miss Pittsburgh vs. Detroit. This makes me rage.
It's been a pretty boring game so far Brill. But if you want to watch it and have a good connection at work Click Here
Stars over Nashville tonight 4-1, making a late run

Absolutely disappointed by Mellon Arena today. I was so hyped to have gotten tickets to the game. There was a sign hanging up in the F section where there's always signs, "17,132 Teammates Strong," today those teammates were nothing but fucking goons. Of course, I took part in the booing of Hossa, but I also took part in (what very little there was) actually, you know, cheering my team as well. Penguins played poorly, they didn't deserve to lose, but the bandwagon fuckheads at our arena deserved the loss.
Fuck our fans, seriously. Way to back up your team.

Nice OT game against the Sharks on Saturday night. Still in the hunt!
I'm still trying to figure this statement out. We got SHUTOUT, I don't know how you can argue we didn't deserve to lose 3-0, unless you assume we're "supposed" to win every game...Penguins played poorly, they didn't deserve to lose
Anyway i'm hoping for a come back of the habs during the "west coast"
Here is my prediction (the last 2 are not west coast but w/e)
Vs Flames Lose 3-2
Vs oilers Win 3-1
Vs Colorado Win 2-1
vs Vancouver Win 4-3
Vs Washington Loose 4-1
Vs Penguins Loose 2-1
This is my prediction
I jinxed Vanek. He suffered a broken jaw when a puck deflected off of his shoulder and into his face.
Out 3-4 weeks.

Don't dwell on it for the sake of trying to make me look stupid. Given your track record in this thread already, I wouldn't doubt you're one of the jackasses I was talking about yesterday. There were three or four chances that the puck could have hit the back of the net, and Conklin simply flat out denied the empty net when he actually allowed a rebound.
Granted I'm taking this out of context but I'm assuming Ivaden was referring to the Red Wings not deserving to lose because the Pens played so poorly? I could be mistaken. At least that's what I took from the statement.Penguins played poorly, they didn't deserve to lose
Devils/Rangers game on right now, looks to be a good game so far
Nah, I said it the way it was meant to be said, even if it is a bit confusing looking back on it. I don't think the Penguins offense played poorly, and I should have clarified that. Our defense played bad, though, and was what I was referring to when I said the Penguins played poorly but they didn't deserve to lose. Our defense actually wasn't too bad but when they scored, it was 100% the fault of the defense. Our powerplay looked a lot better than it has, Conklin is just a brick wall. There were four or five times the puck should have been behind him, looked like it was going to go behind him, and then just popped out of the crease.
Yesterday was one game I would have agreed that Malkin should have been on Crosby's wing, the defense was concealing them way too easily on their own lines, they could barely get the puck to their wings. At least if they were on the same line, the defense would probably have been spread out just a bit more.
I was not in attendance, but I kinda feel like 17,000 booing people is justified when your team isn't scoring and is being beaten by the very 2 players the opponent swiped off of you in the offseason. Its one thing to be denied by the likes of Luongo or Backstrom when they're having one of those "in the zone" nights, but when you're being beat by your former BACK-UP goaltender, it loses a lot of meaning to say the goaltender and the goaltender alone is beating you. Fuck this damn, "the other team/player/whatever just outplayed us", we need wins and "doing good" offensively without actually scoring is no help to us. We need wins. We need points. We need goals. Is this fucking kindergarten? Are we giving out "you're special!" stickers to everyone who writes their names on the paper now?
So I'll be back @ MSG to watch Ovechkin take apart my Rangers, almost dont want to go. Seriously, fuck my team. Blow the whole thing up and start the rebuild all over!
Apparently you weren't watching last season when Conklin played out of his head for that whole stretch Fleury was injured. He was lights out. Conklin may be just a backup goalie but the guy IS good. Hossa is one of those players that you can't really shut down completely. Even when he's not scoring he's doing other things. I don't think there's any shame in getting beaten by Detroit. They are the champs for a reason.
I find it amusing to go back and read Sepukku's posts earlier in the thread. you called someone bold for placing the pens 3rd in the division.
now they aren't even in a playoff spot.
Hindsight is 20/20. I don't think anyone in hockey could have predicted the Penguins would have such a freefall. There's enough time for them to turn it around, but let's face it, they need to stop fucking around and get going.
