Pens throttled Atlanta last night. Malkin ended up with 5 points, could have gotten the hat trick except Hedberg stopped him on a penalty shot. That was an ugly game from a penalty stand point. I haven't seen so many tripping calls in a long ass time.

What a great game! That was awesome, the fights, the goals, Malkin barely being able to stand by the time he took the penalty shot. I felt so bad when it got called a penalty shot, I mean, man, I was pumped, but I knew he wasn't going to convert between how much he sucks at them and how tired he was from the flu/double shifting. Its almost like he didn't want the hat trick either, how he kept passing it off instead of shooting...

And Gonchar to Eaton on a 2-on-1... lol just wow. 2 defenseman on an odd man rush... Mark Eaton taking it too lol MARK EATON. I watched the FSN replay afterwards and Staggy + Bob couldn't even believe it, they were like laughing everytime they said his name.

After the two big wins for the Rangers, nothing to do this week except scoreboard watch, which is endlessly nerve wracking.

Sens knocked off the Canadiens lastnight, yay! Panthers beat the Leafs boo!

Big games to pay attention to tonight: (Rangers at 82 points, 71 GP btw)

Flyers (84 points, 69GP) Vs. Sabres (76 points, 70 GP) - Go Sabres. I'd like to see the flyers burn a game in hand, and see the Rangers catch them. Besides we play the Sabres tomorrow night.

Islanders Vs. Hurricanes (81 points, 72 GP) - Go Islanders....ewwwww!
Kings Vs. Penguins (84 points, 72 GP) - Go Kings! Rangers have a game in hand on the Pens, but I'd like to see it grow to 2 games and the point differential not change.

Big weekend for the Rangers also. Tomorrow night Vs the Sabres (I'm actually taking a buddy of mine who just moved back east, and is a lifelong Sabres fan, should be fun). Sunday against the Sens. They're out of the playoff race, but playing the spoiler role well, and with Alfredson, Heatley, and Spezza, they always have a boatload off offense talent.

But I like where my team is sitting. Won 3 out of their last 4, and game-by-game are looking better under Tortorella. Balanced scoring, physical, solid goaltending (3rd goal against MTL not withstanding). If some games go right and Rangers can pick up 4 points this weekend, goes a long way to the cause!

Rangers schedule isn't very easy but you got some good chances to catch up with Philly. Should be an exciting stretch for Ranger fans.

Meanwhile, the Canucks have won 11 at home in a row!! Team is looking soooo good right now. If anyone doesn't know catching Calgary means more than anything right now. Fuck Calgary.

Montreal is still in it. They probably won't make it very far in the playoffs but hopefully they'll at least get there. I'll be freakin shocked if only 2 Canadian teams make it into the playoffs (Vancouver and Calgary).

I'm hoping Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal and Vancouver all make it into the playoffs. Better chances that a Canadian team will hoist the cup again, its been 15 fucking years.

Rangers schedule isn't very easy but you got some good chances to catch up with Philly. Should be an exciting stretch for Ranger fans.

The difficulty of their schedule is exactly what has me excited. If they're gonna get in, it's going to be on the merit of earning their spot, and playing very good down the stretch. We have another home-and-home with Philly to close out the season, which could make all the difference. As long as we keep winning games, that's all I really care about.

This weekend is going to be awesome. Two home games, and neither one are matinee games! I usually hate going to matinee games. Getting up early on a sunday (and usually cutting my saturday night short) to get to a Rangers game can be a bit of a drag.

Watching Tootoo get owned was pretty awesome, shame that the Preds didn't win though, would be nice to get a bigger cushion over the Sharks.

On another Note Osgood has been looking vastly improved outside of one game after his short break, and our offense getting it done as usual too.
