The difficulty of their schedule is exactly what has me excited. If they're gonna get in, it's going to be on the merit of earning their spot, and playing very good down the stretch. We have another home-and-home with Philly to close out the season, which could make all the difference. As long as we keep winning games, that's all I really care about.
I'm actually kind of hoping someone will knock us down to the 6th seed at this point. I'll take the Caps over the Pens any day of the week.

Also I'd give anything for a true No. 1 goalie right now. Nitty doesn't play well in important games and Biron is too streaky and lets in too many soft goals (cost us the Detroit game by letting 2 softies in). I know he carried us in the first 2 rounds last season but you can't expect someone to be that hot for 4 rounds.

Gotta give Tootoo a lot of credit there though, Brad Staubitz is like 6'2" or 6'3" Tootoo's like 5'9" with his skates on . He stood in there and took it pretty good.

Wow, watching the Montreal game right now. Down 3-0, their season could be fucked. Let's see if they can make the big come back.

There so much going on atm at mtl it's gonna shameful to live here atm.

Can't walk in streets without people hearing bout this.

when carbonneau got fired he did his press conference and he answered 2 question like this.

    1) If theres is weak people now it's Gainey's job to deal with them, not mine

    2) One day every truth will come out.

Now people are like OMG what does he mean, and with gainey 1-3-2 people beleiving more and more in carbonneau

Anyway, if Buffalo and florida can keep loosing we will do the playoffs but still ...

Sabres lost at the hands of the Rangers. Great game, awesome crowd on a saturday night. Almost felt bad for my friend who I brought to the game, cause he's a big sabres fan...almost felt bad. Canadiens and Panthers losing was good too, making some separation in the standings.

Philly and Pitt playing now. Actually gonna watch it. All I want is for it to end in regulation, so the Rangers can tie one of those teams tonight! Another big game tonight, Senators have been playing very hot lately, and they always have enough offensive talent to make me worry.

Pitiful play by the Sabres. Rangers played really good until the 3rd period. They kinda slacked off.

I think Buffalo is done, they clearly can't keep their heads above water without Miller.

We just took it to them at the beginning of the game. Rangers have been running out of gas in the 3rd since Tortorella took over. They're still getting conditioned to the demands of being a much more aggressive forechecking team. It's funny because under Renney they were slow starting, but picked up as the game goes on. Now it's the complete opposite.

And you're right, Buffalo is probably done without Miller. Even I was admitting lastnight at the game, that some of the Rangers goals dont go in if Miller is in the net. Making up 5 points in 10 games isn't impossible, the the margin for error is sooo thin, luckily for them, Montreal is playing pretty awful as well. If Montreal somehow plays their way out of the playoffs, that city is going to burn itself down.

But back to the task at hand, Rangers V. Sens tonight. Keep the momentum going boys!

    LETS GO RANGERS!!!

And to what Soa said - The way the Rangers have been playing I like how we match up with any team, I really mean that. I almost wouldn't mind not having home-ice; taking a game on the road before you get to play in your own building is such a momentum changer.

oh and Philly is up 2-0. Go Flyers?

Lalime isn't bad, he just gets no fucking support at all. I had made a comment last night that maybe Buffalo doesn't feel as secure with Lalime in goal and it's showing in their play. Maybe they just feel more comfortable with Miller in net.

That could be. Confidence in the guy in your net goes a long way to how you can play. Tortorella constantly says he's go the best goalie in the league in his net, and allows him to play the team the way he wants to play them. I think that goes a long way to how Lundqvist plays, and how the team plays because they know they can go high-risk.

But the Sabres still have a load of talent, and great work ethic. They're the style the Rangers were unofficially going for when they brought in the likes of Drury and Gomez. The Sabres are one of those teams I always consider a threat, regardless of who's playing and who isn't.

Flyers 3-1 over Penguins. With a win tonight the Rangers can tie Pitt and have a game in hand. Can't have a letdown tonight, gotta keep the roll rolling!

    LETS GO RANGERS!!!

Bruins finally played a decent hockey game when they had to against New Jersey. Now they get five days to cool off again...

Another big game for the Sharks tonight. I honestly feel whoever gets Home Ice in the West will be going to the Stanley Cup.

Can't believe the Rangers lost tonight. They just looked really flat out there, I think the game lastnight took a lot out of them.

Upside is there was a pre-game reception for season tix holders with some alums....I got to meet Adam Graves and get a picture with him and discuss proper playoff beard growing etiquette, was pretty cool.

I'd just like to point out that the Wings split the series with the Sharks, both teams winning both games at home. However, the wings lost 2-4 and 5-6, while the Sharks lost 0-6 and 1-4. I think the Sharks have a much better chance if they get home ice, but I don't see them beating the Wings in a 7 game series. The regular season does not determine what happens in the playoffs, but just pointing out a bit of information.

Also, you made a small mistake
