Who ended up with home ice between Philly and Pittsburgh? I'm sure Philly fans here will agree with me that this is the last matchup either team wanted. This, as far as I'm concerned, is going to be the series to watch. Whoever wins it is going to be limping away. It's going to be violent, chippy, and exciting. Earlier in the season I would have given the advantage to Philly because of how poorly the Pens were playing. But now, I would have to say this is as even a series as I've seen in a long time. Let's go Pens!

What are your thoughts on the matchup Maka? As excited as I am to watch the series, since it's going to be one hell of a series, but I can't help but worry about the aftermath. Should the Pens win they will most likely be beaten to hell, I would expect the same of the Flyers.

Pens get home ice if NYR beats PHI in regulation. Any OT or a Flyers win gets them home ice. Pens gotta win. Im already hating this one Philadelphian at my university. It may escalate into a melee.

I didn't get to watch the Rangers game today...but gotta love a come-from-behind win, on the road, in a game where we had nothing to play for, and Flyers had a lot to play for. Going in on a roll is always sweet!

Gonna be tough on both teams, whoever wins will be drained for the next round. The Flyers have been playing pretty shitty the past couple weeks, so if Biron doesnt come up big they might be going home fast. If they play smart and keep Crosby and Malkin in check as much as they can they can win but its gonna be tough. I wanted them to drop to 6th to play the devils, Canes and Pens have been on rolls. Well Canes ended with 2 losses but had 9 straight wins before then.

They both scare me. There's no question they're a LOADED team offensively. But we're a better team Defensively, and I like Lundqvist in net against any other goalie out there.

I'm pretty pissed about the schedule for the Rangers series. I wont get to watch Game 2 (work), wont get to go to Game 3 (School).

If they did a simple Wednesday -> Friday -> Sunday -> etc every other day I'd be fine...oh yeah and I don't have Versus anymore...grrr!!

I'll admit, some of my Eastern Conference picks might be a little off. But no one cares about that conference.

I think Carolina is going to surprise some people. I really want Columbus to pull out in the Detroit series too, but that's going to entirely depend on how good Osgood and Mason are in their respective ends.

I hate to say it, but I'm truthfully most scared of Vancouver. I'd love to see the Blues upset them, but I can't see it happening.

I didn't follow hockey too much this season so I'm not sure how good St louis will be but it isn't comforting to see that they won 8 out of their last 10 games.

Detroit - Columbus series is going to be great for the NHL in this region. There's already one heck of a rivalry, and it's just going to get bigger now.

I love playoff hockey. The hits are harder. The skating is faster. Everything seems more amplified.

I'll never forget this Flames/Sharks game last year when Flames players just absolutely leveled Marleau. Craziest hit I've ever seen.
