I have no idea what Carcillo's could be for, he didn't do anything that really stood out to me. I thought for sure we would be hearing about Parent crosschecking Staal face first into the boards. I'm actually kind of floored that there isn't a hearing on it the more and more I think about it. But as you say, Parent isn't exactly labeled as a dirty player/fighter/agitator etc.

Could it be when he popped Talbot in the back of the head? That's the only thing I can even think of that he was involved in.

they said it involved Talbot, but i didnt see any replays, except when he got away with retaliating at Cooke.

Parents play wasnt really intentional. and besides, Staal was unable to be knocked off the puck all night... he went down pretty easy there

Yeah its for what I said on the previous page to Talbot. Asshole on the faceoff with 4 seconds left in the game made no attempt to get the puck and just spun around so that the portion of his stick extending behind his elbow (cause he was the Faceoff man and was holding it low) clocked Talbot in the face. It was pretty deliberate looking, but none of the refs caught it.

I say Henrik, because he has 37 saves and 13 against Ovy, Luongo played out of his mind as well. lolThedore and Biron though

Ohhh that's right it was Carcillo that took the last faceoff and clipped Talbot in the face. Staal on the other hand, that was a dangerous hit. He was completely unprepared for it. Let's hope the series goes on without anyone getting hurt. Except for Hartnell, he can die

Now we sit and wait for Friday. And I'm fucking pissed. I work on Sunday when our computer system is down for file resizing. So not only do I work and will miss the game, but it's probably going to be so fucking busy I won't be able to check online. Looks like it's radio time.

i didnt see the high stick on Cooke either. i saw him bleeding, but they never showed him getting hit.

I'd have to agree that King Henry played the better game, if only because he kept his team in it early on when Washington was totally dominating. Luongo played really really well too but the team also backed him up a bit too.

Luongo or Lundqvist easily, though I didn't get to watch the Caps/Rangers game. Also is it me or is there something wrong with Ovechkin getting the 1st star of the game?

And the Pens/Flyers: 1st goal should have been disallowed, but Pens still would have won. Flyers looked pretty bad comparatively, not really much else to say. I thought Hartnell's goalie interference call was kind of bad, though there should have been a double minor for that high stick that drew blood (can't say I'm surprised by that though, almost the same thing happened to Franzen a few weeks ago. Blood trickling down his face on the bench after an obvious high stick and no call).

I was never around hockey until moving near Pittsburgh. But yeah, I guess that makes me a bandwagon fan, because I ended up becoming a fan of hockey after the team I root for went through a dark period that I was never around for and now they're a better team. I guess I'm not surprised you're reaching for personal attacks though, even though I'm not sure why. Guess it's just something I should get used to.


Anyway, after reading that article about Hartnell, it really makes me wonder what it is about the Flyers that makes players turn into assholes on the ice. Is it because of their reputation they got back in, gasp, before I started watching hockey? The whole Broad Street Bullies nonsense? I guess it's the same with someone like Godard, though. He's all about doing things for charities and whatnot.

People are different when they step on the ice. Look at Laraque for example. All he does is fight people. Yet he donated a ton of money to local charities and held so many charity events here in Pittsburgh for underprivileged kids in Pittsburgh. He's a prime example. I hate Hartnell. But I also hated Ruutu before he played for the Penguins. Then I loved him. Now that he's gone, I hate him again. I do believe that who they are on the ice is definitely not who they are off it.

Ivaden I think is a bit of an exception when it comes to fair weather fans. He's stated from the very start of the thread that he never really followed hockey and he started watching it. Now he's hooked.
