I wish you guys could get someone like Jack Edwards to do your games. He's the play-by-play for NESN in Boston, and the biggest homer doing games that I have ever seen.

He loves the Bruins and makes no apologies for it, and it makes for some hilarious comments.

Did you hear his obtuse analogy about Patriots Day and comparing the Canadiens fans to the Red Coats running from Lexington? I usually find Jack Edwards entertaining, but sometimes he scripts stuff like that, and it's more embarrassing than his homerism.

I think I'm one of the few people who doesn't have a problem with Bettman. Go over to the Yahoo boards and all you see are people clamoring for Bettman to resign. I don't think he's done a bad job. With the soft cap he was able to get in place he was able to help every team in the league to keep salaries under control. I don't think he's the best commissioner ever, but he's a far cry from the worst.

The degree of the competition in the NHL is better than any other league right now, and more than any other series-based playoffs (thus, excluding the NFL) for postseasons. Look at the NBA, its a joke. Everyone knows its Cavs-Lakers in the finals, theres no debate even about it. In the NHL, every team has a shot, the Ducks are giving the Sharks fits, the Rangers stunning the Caps, etc etc.

Yeah definitely made me raise an eyebrow as he was reciting it... had no idea where it was going. Not one of his better hits. But Brinkley bailed him out with the "started booing the national anthem, and left booing their own team".

All but over for Montreal, now to watch where the Rangers/Caps series goes.

And they're not Canadian. I've lived in Seattle, been to Thunderbirds games, and while I think it would be a good use for Key Arena, I don't think it would be a good market. Fail? Maybe I was too harsh, but I can't imagine it being much better than what Phoenix has.

I almost threw something watching the end of the nj game, still am kinda pissed. Sure the goal went in with time to spare but the ref saying that interference was fine because brodeur had time to reset is absolute cover your ass bullshit. not asking for a penalty either just to wave the goal, that could easily dicked the series for NJ

Fleury stole another one for the Pens, first goal was bs but what are you gonna do. Great goaltending is what wins in the playoffs and the flyers havent had that since Bernie and maybe Hextall's rookie year. Pelle was pretty good too tho.
