Philly is in a good position. Going back to Philly for a game 6, they can tie it up, and then have momentum going into game 7.

However, Fleury bounced back from game 3 for an amazing game 4...he might do it again.

he did play good, and not to take anything away from Fluery, but in game 4, he did get some lucky bounces. he made an amazing save on Hartnell. like the one on carter in game 2, going post to post.

the difference was that the flyers also got a couple bounces. ones they didnt get in the last game

The Pens didn't get any bounces at all last night. And to be honest, Fleury didn't play terribly, he just had dick for support. He still made a few spectacular saves. The problem is that with the offense we aren't sure what we're going to get right now. Either it's balls to the wall speed with scoring, or an absolute suckfest. Not even Malkin and Crosby looked good last night. I'm willing to bet that they thought Philly was going to roll over and die like they did last year. The problem with that is nobody told Philly lol. And what the fuck is up with Aaron Asham getting so many scoring opportunities lol.

Looking ahead to potential round two I'm hoping that Anaheim pulls off the upset with San Jose to set up Detroit/Anaheim and Canucks vs hopefully my Blackhawks, giving that they don't lay an egg tomorrow night, and actually reclaim their dominance in Calgary they had this season (up until playoffs started.) I think Chicago fares better against Vancouver than they would against the Sharks....all I know is tomorrow at the United Center is gonna be electric, can't wait to get there.

They showed they could play in the 4th game. If they can keep some of the successful pieces in place and possibly make a few acquisitions it could be a very good team in the near future, even more so since many of the guys are young and now have some playoff experience. Mason should become a scary good goalie. Now if some of their fans would stop making them look by bad by throwing shit on the ice after they lose...

As for the Wings, I liked the look of this series. Games 1-3 showed we were ready for the playoffs, and could play some dominant hockey, and that Osgood was still capable. Game 4 was a bit more shaky play at times, but we were able to score when we needed to in order to get ahead and win.

Looking forward, our next opponent is likely to be the Ducks. With any luck they'll be a bit more tired than us, and we will get a chance to dictate the tempo at the start of the series. It will be a lot about beating their defense and breaking Hiller. They're also taken more penalties so hopefully our PP will be continue to be productive.

I love the NHL playoffs. Except for the whole TV coverage thing.

Reminds me of Philly losing 5 and 6 last year to the Caps (6 in Philly), then winning in OT in 7 in DC. The pissants in Philly would probably trade a year of their lives to knock out Ovie in round 1 game 7 in one year, then Crosby in round 1 game 7 the following year. That's just the kind of thing all my friends in Philly would get a hardon for.

Absolutely. Didn't mean to imply I wouldn't. I just don't have much to brag about these days/years/decades.

I will say with the utmost sincerity that I am really hoping for the Pens and Flyers to go to game 7. It's been a fun series to follow. The only problem is that there is no way for them both to lose. I'll just continue to root for a cholera outbreak.

Last night's game was PAINFUL to watch... errr, not watch. Entire 2nd period blacked out due to lightning strikes at FSN's Transmissions HQ. 3rd period Fleury made that big save and I thought with a bad feeling to myself if the Flyers still score next, it turns all that momentum around from the save back on us and makes the 2nd goal that much more devestating. And sure enough, it did - in scaringly similar fashion to the Flyers only goal in game 4. Defenseman behind the net ringing the puck around the far side trying to get it out in front of the benches and the Philly D keeping it in. Gotta clear these pucks, wouldn't be surprised if Bylsma made the team practice getting the puck out of our own end a lot in practice today.

We discussed this a page or two ago, scroll back a bit. Theodore was our goalie but he was weak at best. He was completely overmatched in game 1 and we pulled him in favor of a rookie (Varlamov) who has been outstanding so far. Goalkeeping hasn't been our problem since game 1 though- we just can't get much luck and we're not scoring when it matters. I've also got to hand it to the Rangers, they're converting the few chances they get and they're playing better than everyone expected. I've been qqing about this all week lol.

I went to college in VA, too. Mason represent.
