I can say this. Competition for the goalie spot could be silly this fall. Neuvirth v Varlamov with Theodore on the bench cashing checks.

I'm totally taking the optimistic outlook on this. The Caps needed to learn a hard lesson about defense and discipline sooner or later, and this was it. Maybe next series we don't turn the puck over on 2 out of every 3 possessions. And maybe we don't let Cindy tapdance in the crease for twenty minutes a game.

I'm going into full 'Hawks fan mode. If we get another Wings v Pens final, I'm not even going to watch.

Yeah, nothing says fireworks like playing your arch rival with pretty much everything on the line. I can hear "the" chant being started now. Reeeally didn't wanna see these guys in the finals, probably in the minority in Chicago that felt that way. All my friends were like "No dude that series is gonna be awesome" and it very well may be, but I don't like the matchup at all lol. At least Hawks are a little more rested, hopefully that will be the difference early in the series. Khabi gonna need to play a lot better than he did against Vancouver to get us through this one.
