So I was robbed last night and I need a new phone. I'm on Verizon and would like to check out smart phones such as the line of Blackberries. Any suggestions? I don't follow new phones very closely.

Should have had a gun so you could have killed the guy as he was running away.
Inc: Was the person black?
holy shit, anyone else having deja vu? i remember a thread just like this about a guy who got robbed by a guy and wanted to buy a new phone
BB Curve. Simple, great keyboard, great internet once you download the Opera browser, and free GPS with an unlimited blackberry data plan (Google maps ftw).
So how do you know he was black?
Did you sit there and watch him take your stuff and not do anything? Grow a pair.
If not, then you're just jumping to conclusions. Racist.
Get off Verizon and switch to T-Mobile, they both suck equally but T-Mobile has the G1.
Ppl calling ppl racist on my internets?
YOU
SHALL
NOT
PASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
G1! Yes.
Or pull a big lebowski and have a phone like the dude.
either work.
What if the black guy was armed? (Presumably with a gun or knife that he had also stolen earlier in the night). Growing a pair is only a valid option when you are in a situation you can win. Letting someone steal your $100 phone because you don't want to get stabbed seems slightly more valid to me. Also, he might have only seen this alleged black man while he was fleeing the scene, on what top experts suggest may have been a stolen bike. My point being, just because you saw the guy that robbed you, doesn't mean you could do something about it.
Is money an option?
