I think the Verizon curve has a built in GPS device (even if it doesn't, google maps can work off of triangulation i think). You can download google maps for the blackberry and it'll pinpoint your exact location within like 10 feet. You can input directions and get them on-the-fly as you travel. Only downside is that it doesn't talk to you, so you have to look at it. It's gotten me around St. Louis and Nashville pretty reliably. My BB unlimited plan is $30 a month through AT&T. I'm guessing Verizon will be comparable. Grats on your container, I've been training for some half marathons and a marathon so I've had next to no time this summer.
Edit: I got held up walking out of a gas station once. A friend of mine seen it and drove into him at about 15 mph in a ford focus. I jumped in and called the police. 15 minutes later the dumbass was still at the gas station when the cops rolled up...and yes, he was black.
If you're with Verizon and can handle touch screen phones, I suggest looking into the Blackberry Storm. It's due to be released sometime next month and it looks promising. If you require a physical button Qwerty keyboard get the Blackberry Curve.
Maybe it would be easier to call it a mugging.
Blackberry curve
Blackberry Storm (not yet released)
LG Voyager
HTC Touch Pro (not yet released?)
If I were to buy a new phone from verizon, these would be the 4 i'd look at.
With all the slight differences in connotation between burglary, armed burglary, robbery, armed robbery, mugging, armed muggery, theft, armed theft, larceny, armed larceny, stealing and armed stealing, we should just call it "some (insert race or religion here) took my shit."
Blackjack is at&t, I've heard good things on the new LG touch phone, and Samsung glide, I currently use a Voyager and like it a lot.
I'll just go off what police dictate things as....
Robbery
Armed Robbery
Larceny
Larceny Over $250
Thats about it... pretty much every type of incident in which a victim loses items to another person can be classified under one of these 4 things. In this case, because a firearm was directly shown...its Armed Robbery, Felony offense.
I have a voyager, and I like it. Screen is responsive and has one of the larger qwerty keyboards. It has the Verizon navigator and web browser etc.
Just avoid the HTC/Tilt or whatever. I'm about to return mine from a shitty 9 hour battery life--- from leaving it idle, talking for 2? minutes, and playing about 15 min worth of Solitaire on it.
Maybe I just got worked and got a crap phone, but 9 hours is pitiful.
did you call the cops, your phone has a GPS in it, they can track it and arrest them if they were stupid enough to turn it on at any point.
"So I was robbed last night and need a new phone."
Hardly sounds like you were held at gunpoint, I'm sure you would've remembered to include that in your OP had it really happened. You don't get robbed at gunpoint in a Country Club in SLO.

Lots of noisy parties, not a lot of armed robberies. Maybe someone stole your phone at a party where you were too out of it to remember where your phone was.
No but really, I don't care if you defend your little story to the grave, just get a G1 and be done with it, shit's bawler.
He could've been robbed with a fucking butter knife who the fuck cares. doesn't make your comment about growing a pair any less retarded.
