This phase feels a lot more polished than the previous one I was in about 6 weeks ago. I have to say I am really impressed with the load times, quest progression, and overall storytelling. The gameplay is familiar, as expected, and to me it doesn't feel super-starwarsy. It's like really close imo, but something's missing and I can't put my finger on it.

Tried Jedi last time, went trooper this time. Found the story a bit more engaging and the starting area friendlier in general (layout, etc). Diggin' it for sure but probably won't play it in the long-run. Quest chains simply bore me, VA'd or otherwise.

I wish the graphics or maybe I should say the art direction, were a bit more detailed. Less cartoony (relatively).

The UI should be adjustable in size beyond existing limits. I run everything at max in max reso and it makes the text kinda small.

Any use a G13 with this game? Or not enough skills to necessitate it yet?

I like the difference in gameplay too. Its a bit smoother than JK.

I really liked the trooper class, I might roll with that on the start and play as a Combat medic.

I'm not playing this but my friend is and he's having an issue. He played fine yesterday and today his launcher is giving some errors and stuff while the bar just seemingly hangs. Anyone encountered this or know what to do?

Edit: Is the beta weekend only for one day you're assigned? That might be why he can't get on ya.

Smuggler is fun, but I see the cover mechanic just being a real annoyance in pvp and grouping stuff later on.

I also love how all new chars start with the running yellow text in space then pans in with an approaching ship.

Oh, and the droid that gives one of the first BH/Agent missions on Hutta. The speech text for it is great.

Is there somewhere, or someone, that can give a succinct run down of the non-force classes? What kind of roles do they play? Perks, drawbacks, play style? The Jedi/Sith are pretty straight forward, but I can't seem to find a lot of information on the other classes that isn't mostly platitudes and buzzwords.

I really enjoyed the Bounty Hunter/Mercenary. Basically a DD + healer. It's got some awesome AOE skills (Death from Above FTW). Not to mention an awesome looking ship and cool armor

I still really dislike that they want you to choose your "spec" by level 10. Don't ask me if I want to tank, dps or heal before I've even had a chance to try it out in a group. Especially since you -can't- get a feel for it unless you spec for it. No tanking abilities unless you choose the advanced tanking class! Small annoyances.

Game was a ton better than I expected after looking at videos of it and hearing other people play it. I expected shit character graphics, but they really are not that bad. Overall, I was impressed with an MMO that I played in a beta that I walked away from without anything in particular that I thought was really bad.

I absolutely LOVED playing a Jedi Knight. I wasn't bored throughout the whole 9 hours I played, especially during my first Flashpoint (Esselese I think it was called), holy shit was that awesome. It was pretty damn long because of the cutscenes, but I've been enjoying the story so far so no complaints here. I'm not sure why people are complaining about the graphics. I mean I understand it's a little cartoony, but the actual quality really isn't that bad. It's not Rift or GW2, but still. Damn.

I'm super excited for the release now. So glad I pre-ordered my CE. Pulsing with adrenaline, it's the Star Wars geek in me. Lol.

I came out of Rift thinking the character graphics were horrendous >_> SWTOR looks a lot better.
