Post there tells you what to do. Anyone that pre-ordered it can now download the game client. Also confirmed now that early access begins on the 13th instead of the 15th as originally planned.

Nice. Hopefully they'll put up the official server list here soon. That will probably happen on the 10th though when they reboot the forums. My guild is thinking of rolling on an RP-PvP server to hopefully have a more mature community and to avoid some of the trolls and kiddies.
Yeah they need to let guilds know what server they are being assigned to still also. Have to do that before early access starts otherwise you might have people popping up on a different server from their guild.
I'm still debating if its worth rolling on a PvP server since all it does is devolve into a ganking game after a time. I know in Rift i was able to get into some organized world pvp raids on towns, but idk if its worth it in the end.
Dec. 13th start time is great news, but now that cuts into my finals![]()
Yeah I'm not sure either. But it still does add that random element of surprise to questing. And with the way knock backs and stuff work, I can see some fun moments manipulating the environments. Knocking people off of cliffs to their doom or into sarlacc pits, stuff like that.
I played on a PVP server in beta and it wasn't to terrible until you got to the higher level planets really. I was attacked more on Tatooine and Hoth than anywhere else. They at least can't show up and attack you on the starting planets(though there was a bug where they could go there they just couldn't attack you randomly unless you flagged yourself for PVP). But that could all change when it goes live so I know my guild is going with a regular PVE server. Still plenty of PVP action to be had all over the place.
The bug was still present in the "launch build" we played in the final days. When I was 40+ on my sentinel back on tython for my chapter 3 starting quest saw chat in general of a sith running around killing NPC's and anyone who was dumb enough to flag them selves for pvp since the guy was in his 20's. I spent the next 2hrs or so camping the guy killing him over and over till he finally gave up and logged out. So the fix they claimed to have applied was bull sith at the very least can still get to tython.
Yeah final day I started a smuggler as it and IA were the only classes I hadn't tried at that point. I was being followed around on Ord Mantell by a level 47 Bounty Hunter a bit but he never tried to attack me. Just cheered me on as I was fighting. I even accidentally shot his companion after he got caught in the range of my flash grenade but he still didn't attack despite it flagging me for PVP.
A certain amount of damage needs to be done before a companion will attack a player I think. I remember back to my first beta build in august I was 48 messing around on empire side of narshada killing and just follow people to make them nervous that when AoE or even intention attacks hit me or my companion it wouldn't auto attack right away would take several attacks in a row before it would attack.
I remember 1 time I was following a mercenary around and standing in the mobs he was killing after 2-3 AoE's hit my companion kira went nuts and killed the guy and his comp in under 10sec's i was dieing laughing. Once again illustrating the issues on open unregulated PvP servers where you can do what you want and there are no consequences. I can say first hand stuff like this happened a lot hoth and tatooine being the worst but anywhere the 2 factions share a world stuff like this happened.
So I just got this e-mail:
Possibly 2 days earlier than expected, fine by me!Early Game Access* will begin on December 13th at 7:00AM EST, 2011 and ends on December 19th, 2011 at 10:01PM EST. During this time, we will be emailing invitations to join Early Game Access based on the order in which you redeemed your Pre-Order Code. Pre-load the game client now, so you're ready to play when your Early Game Access invitation arrives. Note that download time can vary and may take awhile.
edit; I'm blind
I'm so sad, no e-mail for me yetI didn't pre-order until like a month ago
DIBS. Installing client right now.
Turns out I'll have a little time to play before I head out for winter holiday.
I never got a consensus on starting a BG guild. I'd like to roll Sith PvP but if a decent number of folks are going to any one place I'll gladly join up.
I never really had anywhere to go, so if we wanna do something i'm down. I'm rolling sith, no preference on PvP or PvE really.
Awesome stuffGot the email like 30 minutes ago telling me about the early access stuff, so I guess I just have to wait for the invitation later this week. I was able to update the client just now but it says I don't have any active sub to this account, guess I need that invite O: I'm planning on playing on a PVE server... hmm... I got up to level 18 on my sage, I was able to get the ship like 10 minutes before the servers went down for the people that had the 1 weekend pass, was tons of fun except for like 1 or 2 things. I'm planning on going either A. Sage and Smuggler although not sure which 2 specs or go B. Sage and Bounty Hunter again not sure what 2 specs for BH.
In other news seems 2 hours ago I got a very late Diablo 3 beta invite... oh dear.
So go play D3 for the 10 minutes it takes to max out everything then come play with us.![]()

Probably going RP-PvP in hopes of finding a more mature community...yea right.
