Welp, my fiance went and decided she wanted the game after playing a day's worth of the beta, so I went ahead and ordered copies for both of us a couple days ago. Won't see much/if any of the early release, but that's not really a big deal.
Still not sure it's entirely worth it, myself, but it should be fun for a while at least. Kinda keen on checking out some of the other stories after hearing the lot of you go on about them.
Now just need to wait and find out if she's going to pick a server with a couple of her friends, or if they're going to wait on me to choose one like the last game we played. Definitely going Republic/PvE, so if some of you doing the same wouldn't mind the company of some extra casuals I'll see if I can angle us your way. :3
reastically you should still see a couple of days of early access, shouldnt be as bad as everyone thinks the difference between first and last people in will be
Bad video quality, but an hour long eternity / raid / pvp stuff via Darthhater
UI customization will be eventually coming into swtor as will a dungeon finder

James Ohlen: We have some. Some of the textures we had were messed up a little, we've fixed that up. Anti-aliasing is something that we're going to have in either right after launch or for launch. It's just something that we had on very late so that's another graphical option that you're going to be able to have access to.
James Ohlen: We're careful not to promise a date for any of the features, but I can tell you what we're working on. Guild functionality is something that we're working on right now. The first piece of guild functionality that we want in the game is guild banks. We have a team that's essentially just going to be pumping out new guild functionality on a regular basis. The other thing we're working on, obviously we have multiple teams on Flashpoints and Operations so that's the high level content, some of our best content, the hardest content in the game where you have an epic story. We're continuing to work on those so we have multiple teams working on flashpoints and operations, we have new [player versus player] War Zones planned, we have new open world PvP planned, and we have a team on that as well.
Article was already posted. But he does make a good point on delaying the release for the dungeon finder.
If they add a dungeon finder they butter counter the negative effects it brings by adding server specific content like open-world pvp or dynamic events of some kind. I was actually disappointed he didn't mention dynamic event type content at all, just that they have more of the same kinds of content they have now on the way.
I'm sure they don't want to disclose "new" features to the game before the games release. BW will more than likely release additional content, add on to space combat, then add new features. How else do you keep new features exciting than to not tell them until they're being released?
These screenshots are awesome. Why can't it be tuesday yet

wow
So are those the final graphic settings or whatever
Probably damn close. Those were from beta with 8x AA and 16x AF enabled via the client_settings.ini file.

Greetings all,
Here are just a few screenshots of the game with 8x AA and 16x AF, enabled via the client_settings.ini file.
As you probably already know, just add the below:
AntiAliasingLevel = 8 TextureAnisotropy = 16
Hope you guys enjoy!
Note: Enabling it via the .ini is more optimal than forcing it via ATI/Nvidia Drivers (as doing so often causes graphical glitches, lower FPS, etc)
Edit: GTX 560 TI, i5 2500k, Consistent 50-60 FPS. No Vertical Sync. Smooth as butter.
Anyone else leading a guild that's ready for deployment? Starting to feel a little concerned that I haven't gotten the email that tells me what server my guild will be on yet with tuesday so close.
Those are nice shots. I tried enabling aa on the last weekend but the game window would close as soon as it opened. ><
Wow yeah, those are great.
Seems like they fixed my GF's account after maint. sent her an email and now it shows up under pre order and can download client. Still though god awful support.
Hoping to get in on the 7am time slot so I can at least create my character before work. Not sure if I registered early enough though. Was like 6 am cst on the day preorders came out.
Its almost time! Been a long waitFAQ answer: emails for Early Game Access will go out in a series of waves, every day. We'll keep you updated via Forums/Twitter.
An Early Game Access 'invite wave' would be a large number of emails. We'll send a series per day, spaced throughout the day.
Other reminders: Forums will be back with Early Game Access (Tuesday). Guild placement happens Monday. That's tomorrow!
How many hrs now? I'm really bad at converting timezones >.>
Also, any guilds that need an expierienced MMORPG player. Probably going republic. Could be persuaded to go sith
