How much of a healer will people need end game? If I roll a sage will I have to go full healer to be effective or can I mix it up? Or even heal somewhat effectively on a DPS tree?
almost every class has some type of at least semi healing tree. for hard stuff obviously you want a dedicated healer though
I'm likely to get stuck with this role, so I'm trying to decide whether to embrace it fully or hybridize.
They are estimating that they should send invites to everyone up through the last week of November, on Thursday. That would seem like a good chance that the rest would be able to get in on Friday.

make it easierA quick update on today's invites, and a little preview of tomorrow.
Today, we invited people who had pre-ordered up to the very beginning of October (roughly). Tomorrow, we're going to be inviting the same number of people again; that will take us up to the last week or so of November. On Friday, we'll be inviting even more, and we'll give you an update on that tomorrow.
You'll see more servers coming online tomorrow, and almost certainly there will be some queuing. That was always expected. As a reminder, our plan here is to maintain healthy server populations post launch, and during the excitement of launch that will mean queues. That said, we'll be working hard to keep those queues reasonable.
We'll check back in tomorrow with another update.
Go Sith or GO HOME !
definitely!
Friday will be fine by me. But with their "help" I bet I get Saturday am >_>
couple questions:
If I roll on mind trick, which side is everyone picking?
Also, If I "pre-order" thursday/friday would i be able to probably play before the 20th?
Is anyone here playing in windowed mode w/ AA turned on in the .ini?
PvE is for carebears.
Love y'all.
Fuck you guys my Trooper is rad.
I was (recently) interested in this game but had a few questions about it. If anyone wouldn't mind answering (granted there is an answer to it)
1) So you get star ships, does that mean you get to fly in space or is it just for getting from planet x to planet y?
2) Are the different planets actually big/open world? Or are they rather confined (similar to mass effect with very little to actually do on any various planet)?
3) Might be too early to tell, but are there a lot of different armor types? Thing that urked about Rift was the lack of armor and having the same model from 5-35.
Might think of more later!
1) It's just from getting from planet to planet.
2) They're confined to an extent, in that you can't explore the entire globe, but each is the size of several WoW zones . . . at least (sans the starter planets, which are about one WoW zone).
3) Yeah. There are a variety of armor types (and far more models than Rift), and each class' gear has a specific look to it. That said, with some significant use of stat mods, a Jedi Knight could look like a Trooper, etc.
1. You get personal ships via missions for free. There are space missions that are fun at first. You use this to interact with companions, continue quest stories, and uhhh watch your companions do work
2. They're pretty fucking big. All planets are relatively big. The starting planets are the smallest
3. Ummm, its hard to tell. So far PvP gear rewards are AMAZING when starting out. I know as you get up there in levels, you're going to have some variety in gear. I know as a trooper I kind of look the same with the heavy armor im wearing, but ive used the same armor too.
Some of the world are really friggin big. Walking would take fucking forever. Tatooine for example.
