I rerolled on Bondar with EternityEnd and got my Operative to 15. They moved a few NPC's and quests around to make the story more linear and less confusing.
Going on vacation and decided to get a laptop so I'm not bored. Think http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834230206 could run the game? I don't know shit about laptops.
This game really needs multi cores more than anything else.
Buddy and I hit 50 10-12 hours ago. Let's just say that the Trooper epilogue is a big letdown compared to the Consular one (I went into his class quest area and helped him with it). Tank + DPS and x2 healer companions is complete beast mode; we duoed every single heroic and flashpoint (except War Games flashpoint) from 10 to 50.
This is a horrible experience. Log on to update launcher, works fine. Then i go to log into website to verify code and my password dont work. All of the sudden my password dont work on the launcher either. Cant call, get a message, cant go on forums cuz my password magically dont work now.
Write your password down and screenshot your security questions and put in your dropbox/cloud storage folder.
Why does Mind Trick have the worst que times ever D:
I fucking love this game even if im playing it on low settings.
Yeah, what can I say, I like the game. A lot. Granted, it's a lot easier to sit around and level for long periods of time when you're playing with a friend.
Man, there's so much stuff to do at max level: level 50 normal mode flash points, hard mode flash points (starting from Esseles), nightmare mode flash points, dailies for badges, 2 (maybe 3?) 8/16 man operations, datacron hunting, Ilum, etc. Even with just two people, we find a lot of content is open to us without a full group at 50.
Also, I really like the mod system, lol. I ended up just stealing mods from various armor and putting them into my armor set so I don't have to walk around looking like a complete clown:
Spoiler: show
I heard both classes had a good story, and since I am playing Consular right now I'm glad to hear it has a nice epilogue to boot. There are so many quests (at least on the lower level planets) that it is very easy to over level them. I did every single quest in Taris... even the bonus events after you finish the main class quest there, and I hit 25 yesterday... heading to Nar Shaddaa today when I log on. And that was with very little grinding, the only thing I repeated a few times where the heroic 4 instances, and there are only 2 in Taris I think with like 3 heroic 2's.
And no it does not surprise me one bit that you can hit 50 in a week or two. I think almost every major MMO that just came out or will come out within a year or two you will be able get to max level within a week or two... of course probably some insane hours put in. Especially a tank a healer combo. Another game that comes to mind is TERA, I think you can get to max wihtin a week or two as well. Hell I'm not even trying and I already hit the halfway point (obviously not in terms of actual exp, just the level).
I honestly wish there weren't levels in this game simply because it is SOOO easy to overlevel an area. There are so many places where I wanted to finish up the quests to get the quest rewards or explore some more but I felt compelled not to because I wanted to hit the next planet at least somewhere in the same level range. That and anytime I do a space mission or pvp i feel dirty because those are really easy ways to jettison above your level range (but its so much fun!). At least i'll have plenty to return to complete once I hit 50.
Yeah, I didn't grind at all on the way to 50, it was pure questing and class storyline exp. I still haven't touched PvP yet on live but I have tried the space battles out a few times and didn't really like it all too much.
edit: lol @ being able to board party member ships:

Queues are really boring.
Takes me back to my days with Rift... Those were good days, when I could finally play. It'll die down eventually. I'm thinking about rolling each character class on a different server when GW2 comes out so I'll always have somewhere to play.
I was already 50 on Rift and doing T1 dungeons, but I'm only 35 trying to catch up on other shit. D:
I did the Jedi Prisoner flashpoints (teral v and maelstorm) - holy shit what a plot twist
Another quick question about companions. I saw the list of available companions but when looking at the classes it lists "Known associates", so my question is does each class have a set companion or can you get any of them?
