HK-51 is a secret companion available to every class/faction. The quest for him is currently not in game right now but you can see the crashed ship on Hoth that will later contain him.
Well, I must say, I'm having a good bit of fun playing this game so far. Doing quests in a duo is a ton of fun. I rolled a Sith Assasin and being evil is just too much fun. We just got to Tatooine and are starting to run into some open world PvP. Pretty fun. While I'm not a fan of global cooldowns, somehow, it feels better in SWTOR than it did in Rift. We ended up rolling on Jung Ma server.
How are Sith Assassins? I want to roll a tank alt but I don't really like how the Sith warrior gear looks. Are they decent at dps and tanking?
Is that the Empire equivalent of the Jedi Sentinel? If they are, then they can't tank for their life. Rebuke is great when you pull threat, but any prolonged damage intake likely means you're going to die in higher level flashpoints. They're basically your fragile but high DPS melee class.
If it's the Shadow version, then same as above minus the glass cannon part. My friend is a level 50 Shadow and he says that they can tank just fine but just need to spec towards tanking and have a tank set. From what I've seen, the main difference between a Shadow and a Vanguard tank is basically the Shadow is a cooldown and a proc based tanking class which means you'll be using a priority system rather than an actual rotation like Vanguards (and Guardians?)
Sith Assassin = Jedi Shadow
Not sure how it compares to Sentinels but friend's backstab crits are around 3500-4000 on low AC mobs so I'd say their DPS is very high. It's to the point where it's sorta hard to hold threat against just him alone even with him guarded, lol.
But yah, I'm talking to him atm and he says that the biggest downside to Shadow tanking is there's no ohshit shield wall type ability, but other than that they're still good tanks. Sounds like a good class if you want to be a jack of all trades.
I am loving my Sith Juggernaut at the moment. I can take a beating and keep on going.
love my Merc, but I want a legit Mandalorian helmet
ARE YOU TELLING ME I HAVE TO BE A FURRY AND CAN'T GET INTO SOME HOT TENTACLE PORN AS A TROOPER?

Assasin/Shadow is pretty fun. I'm spec'ing into the Deception tree at the moment for improved stealth and escape capability. Stealth is quite a bit different from the other MMOs I've played as it is not 100% and you can be detected if you run into someone's line of sight (particularly Force users). As for tanking, it's pretty decent at tanking but would you would have to sacrifice some DPS of course when spec'ing into the Darkness (defense) tree. So far, in PvP it performs well as far as my tastes are concerned and it has a "GTFO" ability that's on a pretty low cooldown. Of course I never roll alone on Tatooine since the hubby is playing Sith Juggernaut. We've been able to duo many Heroic 4s as we level up.
Is there any pictures of the higher end gear of the classes besides the concept art on their site?
