    There was the same delay in Warhammer, which might explain why its here. Lots of people posting on the official forums have played both and mentioned it. I think its pretty shitty if there are ex-War people on the SW team that are repeating the same mistakes this time around.

    Does my companion share my light/dark side alignment? Or are they separate? If separate how would I raise them?

    It's shared, which sucks. I finally got my last companion on my Sentinel alt and I can't socket new red crystals (which is what he uses by default) into his saber because I'm a light sider.

    So I learned tonight to be VERY careful when buying PvP gear with your Unassembled Pieces, since you CAN buy gear for a different class with the same item. -.-;

    Is it just me or is anyone else finding the questing a bit bOring a leveling a little drawn out? I hit 12 and it feels like it's taking forever which is probably due to dromond Kass having a quest 5 miles from where you need to go and a lack of a speeder at this level isn't helping.

    I've leveled many characters in wow/ffxi/rift but this just seems slower then them all and I'm losing motivation to keep grinding out the levels. I know it seems bad I'm saying this at 12 but I've never felt bored with other games so soon.

    I felt that way a bit too, the running between quests is really spread out coupled with cutscenes for everything really slow things down. I've gotten to the point where I skip the cutscenes for anything that isn't the class quest. I get excited when I ding, turn in 3 quests and im already half way through my level. then it takes another hour to get the rest of the xp. that being said, the group quests/dailies in the lower levels are really great and the rewards are nice, just hope when the game isn't fresh people will still be around doing them

    It only gets worse later on when the planets get bigger. Go kill 40 mobs way over there, come back, now go to the same spot for a schematic. I personally enjoy the longer leveling process with VO's but a lot of the actual quests are just junk really. The questing doesn't really flow well and has you running all over the place. There's really no rush to get to 50 since all you'll be doing is the same old daily's bullshit. Why BW, why? I wish these companies would get over the antiquated "daily's" concept.

    I feel the complete opposite, I never cared for the quests in WoW but I'm loving the quests in SWTOR. I just love the story and can't stop doing the class quests. flashpoints are fun too. Also this is much faster then FFXI when I played it at launch. It took me forever to level in FFXI when I first started back at PC launch.

    You will get Sprint at lvl 15, which helps with all that running. Sprint can always be active as long as you aren't in battle.

    The class quests are fantastic and really fun. It's the other quests, that are the same for every class, that are the problem.

    Agreed that the generic quests become mind numbing after a while. It seems like every single one of them involves either killing xx amount of mobs, clicking some random panels, or doing some space Fedex for a random NPC. Meanwhile, WoW has zonewide phasing, more quest variety (such as bombing runs, vehicle usage, etc) and suddenly SWTOR's average quest looks vastly outdated.

    I enjoy the game, but the three things that are really starting to bother me is the ability delay, archaic quest objectives (same old "go kill 30 boars" except in space - I love class quests, though), and the unchangeable UI (no ToT? No combat log? Really?).

    You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

    I really only do the mission quests. Once you get your ship there's enough dailies (ship + pvp) and flashpoints to make you outlevel the regular quests pretty quickly

    It's not "most of the WAR team", it was just sound and art asset people to help speed up finishing the game. Most of the decision makers for WAR are on the street or starting up new companies. The head producer got bought out by EA and laid off.

    I share your pain. My friend had me roll on an RP server with him, but luckily there really doesn't seem to be all too much RPing that actually happens. Just a lot of lore nerds getting into verbal fistfights in the general channel.

    Does the PVP in this game having meaning? I'm not talking wow pvp where you kill the other team then spend like a gold to repair. Does the PVP actually have consequences? Thinking more in line like EVE online where if you pvp and lose your ship you have to replace it which can cost a lot.

    You get nice gear from it. As far as global control of areas, nothing really significant since Illum is a blank canvas.

    That's what I feared. This is what ends up keeping me from playing WoW for long periods. I just get to level cap, see the new content, then get bored just grinding new gear to run the same content over and over again. Another thing that worries me is will BW be able to keep up with new content. I can't imagine it's a quick process for them to implement a bunch of new content with all the voice acting that they do.
