What spec are you running as? I'm Annihilation and it feels really subpar, though the dot healing is nice at times when I pop my Berserk.

What level are you? I'm Annihilation as well but lv43. The Annihilation tree is finished and I'm going to put the remaining points into rage for crit boost. I finish 1st or 2nd in both damage and kills usually (take w/ grain of salt due to a variety of factors). But overall (in spite of the more or less level playing field in Warzones), I can kill anyone in Warzones whereas before I could not kill a lv50 (as a lv40ish) (take into account higher level in instanced pvp still means higher level spells and specializations which make all the difference) who knew what to do and had Champion gear (set bonuses). Now, they aren't an issue.

Warzone PVP is just pure chaos. I play Mar like a Sin in Aion. I don't jump into a bunch of people and just start swinging. I pick people off and try to minimize the chances I get zerged. So if you stick with it and play less gung-ho and more opportunistically, and have a good rotation, you'll do well.

I respec'd because I got rocked by a Annihilation-spec Mar yesterday in a duel. He won very fast and we were the same level. I didn't max out Rage at that time but I don't think it would have mattered.

If you played Aion, it's like a decked out SM's dots on you + melee hits.

I'm assuming it's the Watchman counterpart? Those dots ignore armor while giving you an infinite amount of focus compared to the other 2 trees. It's also more difficult to maximize the spec in PVP since it uses a lot more abilities. The combat spec has more burst but is ridiculously focus starved. I'm having fun messing around with the focus tree. Leap in and AOE everyone for 3.5-4k damage in 1 hit.

I disagree with the second sentence. If I understand you correctly, you mean managing all the skills on the fly? If so, that's up to the player. A Naga + G13 make a big difference.

I'm guessing your Combat spec is our Rage spec because in the latter, we gain auto crits higher up in the tree which is used for an AoE skill called 'Smash'.

My rotation is very simple in spite of the appearance of complexity. It's just charge/stack-rage attack/buff/big burst skill(Annihilate, which also lowers its own CD after usage)/Rupture(the main bleed attack)/and then whatever else until CDs are ready again. Even after using up that rotation you are left with great options like Force Choke (CC/damage), ranged skills that crit (Force Scream) and throw-saber, etc. etc.

All the while DoTs are running. I can also screw w/ whoever I'm fighting by stealthing mid-fight. They lose target and most people don't even AoE immediately. I imagine at lv50 it will get better as well w/ Champion gear set bonuses.

Oh no, compared to the other 2 tress, it's more difficult to play is what i meant. The other beauty of the spec, besides the unlimited focus, is the 6sec CD interrupt. It's just too good against healers. I attribute this specs success to offhand saber being useless other than for stats. It makes the combat tree very subpar.

Ah... so that's why you're doing much better than I am. It seems like up till level 40, Carnage would have better damage, but afterwards Annhilation would pull up ahead due to larger health pools for your dots to take effect.

How does your spec look like for Annihilation/Watchman? I recently swapped to it after leveling to 50 as pure Combat and this is what I worked out:

Seems to work fine so far in HM FPs, but I'm not sure if I should dump my points into the Slash talent in Focus or go for Accuracy instead in the Combat tree. Also, no kick reduction since I don't PvP, lol.

Dual wield mastery is pretty bad in it's current form. It's really only useful for Ataru procs but even then it's not very good. We won't really know for sure until there's a combat log though.

So I just discovered today that Mako is voiced by Lacey Chabert. Quest to bang is now top priority. I hope she likes girls since I rolled a female bounty hunter...but its Bioware so probably so.

So for folks at 50... has it been pretty well determined that the Watchman/Annihilation tree for Sentinel/Marauder is more useful than the Combat/Carnage tree for PvE?

As it stands now, yes. The other trees, while they have better burst, are ridiculously focus starved. The focus tree has insane AOE but at this point you're better off playing a Guardian since their focus tree does 30% more damage on Sweeps.

Warzones need level brackets like now. Tired of getting all these lowbies in here that can't really do anything to contribute because they're just fodder for the other team's higher levels. Likewise, I'm sure they're tried of having to face higher levels as well.

Spend 3 hours on the phone with support today to get my security key removed..... was told to email support, because they will request a copy of my photo ID.

Sent a email to support, only to get a automated response saying they can only handle security key issues on the phone.
