all i could see in the whole interview that perked my interest in this again is the rancour :D
Any level 50's see this yet?

I looked back a page or two but didn't see it posted.
Level 50 datacron(+10 all stats) on the imperial fleet, 15 minute explanation on how to get it, will probably take you at least a half hour to get. Requires 4 people.
I don't know, I have to utilize regular saber strikes on my darkness assassin on and off just to keep force up. It's not too frequent and usually I tic up enough force between GCDs to keep things rolling smoothly, but it does happen from time to time, especially AoE tanking or after a couple of really generous energize procs. I can't say I'd mind having auto-attack to fill those occasional gaps, but I don't think the game is any better or worse for the lack of it.
I have to do the same on marauder rokku, i have two other force generating moves(one is the jump at range) but usally get caught with around 4-5 seconds that im out of force and the one i can use at melee range isn't up.
its not really a problem for me though, i prefer having no auto-attack, definitely more active while leveling
Now presenting: Biochem and Warzones, a tale of crit modifiers
Focus specced sweeps is so sexy.
You reek of White Knight, especially when you throw out comments like "IF YOU DON'T LIKE THIS GAME YOU PROLLY JUS' DON'T LIKE MMOS NEMOAR!" That's a terrible line of thinking, especially in regards to a game that basically mirrors WoW, minus a few features.
On topic: do they have an active test server that people are playing on, or is that all handled in-house?

By Landon Robinson | 12 January 2012 | News | bioware, Rise Of The Rakghouls, star wars the old republic, The Old Republic | 0 Comments
In an announcement sent out early this morning, EA, Bioware, and LucasArts are prepping to launch the first game update for the rampantly successful MMO, Star Wars: The Old Republic.
The update entitled Rise of the Rakghouls will release on Tuesday, January 17th, and will add “new, higher level group content, game feature additions and continued balancing and bug fixes.”
More specifically, the package will feature a new flashpoint and operation, as well as changes to level 50 bracketing for PvP WarZones and open world PvP on Ilum. Anti-aliasing is also a featured inclusion.
The post also divulged more details on the aforementioned flashpoint and operation that will be included:
Dr. Greg Zeschuk, General Manager at BioWare Label’s MMO Business Unit and Co-Founder of Bioware, stated his promise to continue content production for The Old Republic:Flashpoint: Kaon Under Siege is a completely new and unique group combat experience located on Kaon, a planet in the Tion Hegemony, a strategically important sector of the galaxy that has remained neutral, Groups of up to four Republic or Imperial players must race to Kaon to eliminate the Rakghouls outbreak, securing the allegiance of the Tion Hegemony for their respective sides. This Flashpoint will be available for level 50 characters only and will feature Normal and Heroic modes.
Operation: Karagga’s Palace, is a continuation of the game’s second launch Operation. In the Operation, teams of 8 or 16 players will face off against Karagga and the Hutt Cartel after the Hutts abandon their famous neutrality and breach agreements with both the Republic and Empire. Concerned by the threat of another combatant in the war for galactic control, both factions send teams of their most powerful heroes to confront Karagga and determine his intentions. This Operation will feature Normal, Heroic and Nightmare difficulty modes.
BioWare has also announced that it plans to continue releasing game updates and content to its subscribers throughout the course of the year. The next update is slated for a March release window, and will include new flashpoints, operations, warzones, and game systems.“A month ago when we launched the Early Game Access program for Star Wars: The Old Republic, we promised our fans that this would just be the beginning of our journey together. Rise of the Rakghouls adds a lot of the things our community has been asking for – additional higher level group content, features like anti-aliasing, PvP bracketing and more. In the future, game updates will be even more substantial, as we promise to continue to not only add to The Old Republic, but to also improve and refine the experience with the full Legacy System and new Guild features.”
Searched up "rakghouls" and nothing came up. Has this info been posted already?
It's apparently from a couple of the books.

Without going into spoilers the Rakghoul problem is covered on both the Republic and Empire versions of Taris.
I doubt this takes place on Taris though considering the state it's been left in since the original KOTOR, I'm guessing someone snuck the virus offworld and this new two part flashpoint is the result.
I meant within this thread. Rakghouls were also in KOTOR.
Edit: Still from the trailer;

Those Rakghouls have gotten beefy.
I like the warzones a lot for the most part. If it were some generic sword and dragons MMO, I wouldn't be interested. It's cookie cutter + SW so I'm all in. PVPing is unfortunately all I do atm and it's kind of like playing CoD for a few matches then logging off and going about your business irl. I remember just idling in Whitegate (that was the name right? it's been 5 years almost since FFXI for me) and camping. SWToR would be more fun if I could have convinvced my Korean-mmo-only friends to join me. Overall though, it's not a bad game IMO.
heres a decent read

pulling some of my favorite quotes:
GameSpy: What about difficulty in Rise of the Rakghouls, relative to other Flashpoints? Are you trying to really challenge players with this, or is it something that you want even casual players to jump in and enjoy?
James Ohlen: It is going to be challenging. It won't be as challenging as the Operation, Karagga's Palace.We've been able to keep the entire team together, still working on the game -- that's allowed us to really create a bunch of different "strike teams" to continue focusing on different aspects of the game. So we have a strike team focused on guilds, for example, and we'll be releasing guild banks in March. We also have a team devoted to PvP functionality, so in addition to just Warzones, we're also going to provide new functionality for PvP players. The first thing is ranked matches -- PvP fans are obviously very competitive, they want to compare themselves to each other, so we're going to allow them to go into matches that are ranked.That's another thing, our weekly patches, where we're doing bug fixes -- when I say "bug fixes," I don't just mean bugs, I also mean what we like to call "quality of life improvements." Things that are annoying players, we'll make tweaks to them or changes. For example, our auction house, the Galactic Trade Network. People have some issues with some of the features involved there. Because of that, we're making small changes to improve it, they won't be in the major game updates, but instead they'll be in the weekly bug-fix updates.
Semi spoiler warning if you haven't played through the Sith Warrior storyline.
Fucking hilarious.
so the more evil you get the more pale and veiny you get? do you get a nice tan if your a good guy then? >.>;
