Rolled a gunslinger alt as a break from valor grinding (rank 55 qq ) class is silly. I'm pulling the same (if not better) wz stats as semi-geared 50's. I'm shocked there arent any qq threads about sniper/gs, the burst is insane.

Did the exact same thing to get away from pulling my hair out trying to solo pug WZ's on my sent. The difference is night and day. Sent requires me to have my own healer and requires twice the effort to play. GS is just so much easier solo. I've made it a habit to target the guys with 2 lightsabers and laugh at how quickly they go down and how helpless they are in the process. I sorta feel bad and annoyed at the same time.

Does anyone else have a companion glitch where a note will appear on their icon (bottom left screen) saying they want to talk in private or on the ship, but then when you try to do so its just the normal auto dialogue? When I run around the Fleet station that happens from time to timw w/Kira Carsen. Lets say it pops up near the AH, otw to the cantina it vanishes. I am assuming a glitch, yeah?

So people are valor farming on Ilum now. Cannons give 100 valor and respawn instantly. Fuck I wish I could login...

Aaaand I called it. On man servers imps are now just camping republic spawn points in ilum with 40-50+ people instagibbing folks for their dailies. And if you try and go anywhere else, the game shouts your name class and location for the other faction to easily hunt you down, and keep spawncamping you. GG

If people didn't have such a hard on for playing "Evil" or how some say the more Pvp oriented side, this wouldn't be an issue.

This is gonna be good times on Crucible Pits for Republic. Thank god for Ruin. If this ended up being remotely like WAR for Open world Pvp, I'll be happy.

Well the numbers games is what's important in World PvP.
Be glad that Ilum won't steamrolled by empire like other servers. Organized World PvP was always Ruin's strength, WZ/BG is extremely dependant on the players.

If ya want to play with good ruin players do bgs with them on vent. It's a bit more organized. But I foresee majority of Ruin doing more open world.

Orly? So the 138+ page (since what, 10 am?) thread on official forums, and the dozens of ss/videos of people farming medcenter/cannons are all fake and trolls?

Ruin member here. We have been farming Ilum since server came up. The imps keep trying to organize something but they are just being slaughtered by the handful. When you are killing about 100 people every 10 minutes the valor is insane. They will probably nerf it but right now I have gone from Valor rank 41-49 since server up just camping the imperial base.

people who hate on ruin don't understand how zerg guilds function. Officers aren't going to be watching people in WZs because that is small group shit. And by the sheer numbers you are going to have both good and bad people in it (think we're at 4 guilds of 500~ each). However if you have good organization when it comes to world pvp you are basically unstoppable unless the other side manages to create their own zerg. Ruin's focus is world pvp not the small group stuff. And they do that better than any other group I've ever seen.

[edit] I wish more people on our side would be grateful for that (not limited to SW either), I guarantee if you go to other servers the reps are getting raped by imps. Ruin always picks the good side since they are always the underdogs, and therefore even if you don't join them they will still have the best server to go to if you want to be the good guy. TCP server is the best place now for reps to get their shit in ilum even if they aren't in ruin.

I guess when Arch went back to WoW for a bit, horde were locked out of BH for weeks because ruin defended it every time it was up.

Yeah, we're getting raped by imperials on Mask of Nihilus. The new update has basically ruined PVP on the server. Incredibly lengthened queue times, when you do get into PVP it's against a much better geared imperial faction, and getting the quests done on Ilum means being greatly outnumbered. It's pretty shitty. My guild doesn't have enough 50's to do any serious PVE content. I'm thinking of rolling an alt. I can't even get into a decent warzone to grind up commendations or get my PVP quests done.

Try and glorify it all you like, Zerg guilds are total jokes. Small scale PvP has always been where real skill shows through, throwing 2000 people at something isn't something to be proud of.

I have yet to see one video or ss of someone killing a turret and getting all that valor. I have seen a literal ton of videos/ss of republic players getting raped yes. There are also plenty of posts in that thread where people have said 'Hey morons you don't get anything but legacy xp and maybe a blue from turrets'.
