What are opinions for the two previous expansions? If I get Revan they give you the Hut one for free. Are these pretty fun or just skip them and play the newest one (free I think?)

Hutt is already free and Revan will be free after the cataclysm. Hutt is easy, but can have some challenging bosses if you're trying to solo. I haven't started Revan yet.

Honestly at this point I would wait out the next 45 days or so until Knights of the Fallen Empire drops, at which point subs will be able to get all three expansions for free. You can play now up to 55 if you want without a sub and finish the main story and Hutt Cartel expansion. Shadow of Revan is needed for level cap of 60 and it does offer some good story. Knights of the Fallen Empire is gonna be a literal game changer, so if you want to enjoy any of the game before that happens, maybe now would be best for you after all.

Thanks Anoat for the explanation. I am going to plug away at this game F2P style, I just don't have it in me for a sub fee anymore. I would pay for expansions though, however if patience is key to the road of "free", then I'll walk that.

A friend of mine and I are thinking about getting into this game. I noticed there are RP servers, PVP servers, and a RP-PVP server. What's the difference between them? Is there no PVP in an RP server or something?

PVP servers are "always on" open world PVP. Non-PVP servers can still do PVP, but you can turn it on/off as you choose.
If you are at all interested in doing RP, then roll on a RP server. If you try to RP on a non-RP server, everyone is gonna give your shit about it constantly it and it probably won't be fun at all.

Ahh I see. Okay so PVP servers are like Age of Wushu, where anyone can attack anyone at anytime. Non PVP servers RP or otherwise are like what I understand WoW to be like, where one has to accept a duel, or something like that to engage in PVP. Is that about right?

Has anyone dealt with Customer Service? I lost my software token when I lost my old phone, and I'd have to go through them to get it removed/replaced. I've heard nothing but horrible things about the process and it's a significant demotivator.

If you have your Serial/CD Key thingy it's much easier.

Meh, I doubt it will be that bad. Just go for it.

I was looking at some of the classes, and the one I was interested in was Jedi Shadow. So if my research serves, Infiltration is straight burst damage based on position, with not much else and not very strong survivability or sustain. Serenity on the other hand also involves a lot of burst damage, but is not quite as focused on it, and is more of a straight up fighter with better survivability and solo abilities. Put in FFXI terms, Infiltration is like a Thief, and Serenity is like a Samurai or another DD job with /THF. Is that accurate? Are people allowed to switch between the two, or are you pretty much stuck for life once you commit?
