Started playing this again not that long ago. Played through the content on my Jedi getting him to 60 before I took a break and switched to my level 50 BH. Unfortunately it seems I can't find the Makeb starting point anywhere despite trying the holoterminal on my ship which is where it's supposed to start. Checked the fleet for a quest there, DK, Hutta, and nothing. Switched to my 50 SMG and same thing there. Anyone have any ideas I might have missed?
The mission terminal (not holoterminal) on your ship should appear at level 47 that will start the Makeb storyline.
Tried that too. Only a grey mission icon that can't be accepted yet. So I'm guessing I missed something story related somewhere but I know I've finished Corellia.
Hmm. There are no story restrictions to starting Makeb; it is possible to start it before even finishing your class storyline. Check your codex, perhaps you started it already and forgot? I would say maybe you don't have the expansion registered to your account but they are needed to break the level 50 cap which you said you've already done on another character.
Yeah I've run all the way through Shadow of Revan on my JK. My BH just hit 52 doing flashpoints and I have all the in game items and title from it. Customer service has been useless without any response from them in a couple days now. Even flew down to Makeb and I just find myself in an area with no quests of any kind to be accepted.
And now it's suddenly showing up. No clue what changed other than my level. Thanks for the help.
Never played this before. Would now be a good time to jump into it fresh? (F2P)
F2P sucks. But I think if you are a first time, all new player you get one month of free time. Use my referral link so I'll get goodies if you decide to stay: http://www.swtor.com/r/2D7QV5
So the snippets of fleet chat and skimming official forums seem to suggest the new story is awesome but buggy as fuck- esp when it comes to recruiting some companions. I might just finish SOR before my sub runs out and wait 6 months or so to pick up the KotFE story. Companions are part of the fun in this game, though we'll see how continued quick fixes seem to go.
As a new player (admittedly I have a subscription though) this 4.0 patch they just released has made leveling significantly better, now seems like a pretty ideal time to jump in. The EXP pacing is much better now and you don't need to be a subscriber to level at a decent speed and the improvements they've made to crafting make it feasible to make some of your own stuff whilst leveling. If you want to PvP or have interest in endgame it does seem like a subscription is pretty much mandatory though, but I'm having a lot of fun just dragging half a dozen alts through each of the stories. I'd say its worth checking out at the very least but if you're looking for something to commit a lot of time to you're going to want to be open to the idea of subbing.
The official SWTOR forums are a fountain of delicious cry baby tears. Apparently one of the requirements for getting a certain optional companion is to complete (not win, but complete) 20 PVP matches. So many PVE people whining about being "forced" into doing PVP...lol
So there is a known bug now that allows Imperial players to travel to Republic fleet and starter worlds Tython and Ord Mantell. Level sync is keeping everyone from griefing on the starter worlds at least, but the fleet is a different story...
Sorry Pubs, the glitch isn't working on that side.
The Sith always win.
There is only power.
I've never done the HK quest, log into one of my below 60 toons and all of it's parts are sitting in my inbox. I have no idea what to make of this.
