Meh. Don't feel that it's worth that much. If CE didn't have that stupid figurine I would have highly considered it.

I imagine its also probably for server traffic and game flow.
Early access is rumored to work as follows: CE >> standard and deluxe preorders >> official release buy off shelf.
This splits progress up so there aren't 500 people huddled around one npc for conversations when the game launches or early access starts, and will help with server population distribution. also prevents their servers from exploding
Well if FFXIV taught me anything it's to never spend so much money on CE. I'll wait a month or so before I consider this. I haven't looked into this game at all but I have on question: is the combat system new and engaging? I think Star Wars I think of awesome Jedi fights will this game replicate that in any way? Or is it a WoW style combat system.
Luckily I dont have to rush to order a collectors edition, will get a free one. The statue in this thing is pretty fantastic. I'll probably keep it sealed.
i'm jelly. Would have loved to get the CE but can't justify spending that kind of cash on one game, if it was 120 I probably would have jumped, but 150 is outside me right now.
As usual, Kyo is out to make even more people want to kill him or just do nasty things to him :D
It's essentially WoW-style combat, with enhanced battle choreography and no auto-attack. Characters with a lightsaber have a 360-degree blocking radius, which looks rather amazing visually.
The "innovative" part of the game is the story. There's allegedly 200 hours of gameplay per class story, making SWTOR the length of several Bioware games.
Derp, didn't know that.
Do you get the redeem code if you reserve at Gamestop?
If you count things like travel time, using the auction house, pvp battlegrounds, and generic quests as part of your "class story", than sure. 200hrs is more like the time it will take the average (slow) player to get from 1 to level cap including class quests, some random dungeons/pvp, and everything else. If people are expecting something like 8 kotors in 1 in terms of single player experience/story, they are going to be very sorely disappointed.
This is actually how Bioware has been touting ToR when asked about new KotoR games. The story quality is on par with single player Bioware games, and you have 8 distinctly different class stories to go through, in addition to any world arcs you may uncover. The story content is there and its a very very good quality.
