Sounds exactly what I thought it would be, Multiplayer KOTOR3.

Which is awesome.

Verdict: above average... even in its current beta build. With some improvements which are bound to come (if the developers have 1/2 a brain... which they seem to do) it can become a excellent and successful game. The potential is without a doubt there. Now it comes down to building on what will hopefully be a successful launch and a thriving community (read idea/money source).

Yeah they really need to start thinking outside of the box and come up with some content that's not the typical dungeon/raid grind if they want to keep people in the long term. FFXI is a good example of diverse end game content with things like Salvage. And also some type of alternate advancement aside from gear grinding. They should also add at least one siege warfare zone, Star Wars style. And with Mythic employees working on PvP they're in a good position to make it happen.

I can see people's concern with them putting TOO MUCH emphasis on story and not enough content. As the stories will only last so long, and not many people are going to want to run the same raid gear grind again in another MMO.

I wouldn't trust anything on Betacake anymore. He's posted two Q&As with someone who wasn't even in the beta, and the guy answering questions, claiming to be a 50 Consular, is an idiot. Reviewing the economy of a game that's in . . . closed beta? Really?

I'm pretty sure Betacake got a C&D, seeing as he hasn't posted a single real leak or any videos since switching to his new site. Not to mention that he's frenetically deleted any comments calling him out or asking when he'll start posting leaks.

To be honest, that's exactly the opposite of my concerns, but that's mostly because I'm not actually keen on playing another MMO. I'd rather it be a co-op KoTOR I can beat in a few months and be done with until there's an expansion.

I totally agree. Though not everything has been revealed yet pertaining to the endgame, just the typical stuff they know won't change before launch. Whatever this legacy system is it sounds like its going to be enough to curve endgame in SWTOR to be different from everybody else.

There were comments about it in the sea of comments on Betacake posted by a guy named "The Truth". Take it all with a grain of salt.

I'd like to but I have a big enough crosshair painted on me as well. I don't need the lawyer army of Riccitiello coming after me. Hopefully BioWare will start unveiling that very soon (hopefully they have most of what I've heard implemented internally too). I'll just say this: not just about rerolling, some legacy stuff applies to max level characters too.

RE: Pretty much this. They don't have a sense of humor at all about leaks from BW friend invites. I've heard rumor that not only did they ban a guy from beta, but they also disciplined the employee that referred him. Don't know if it is true or not.

It probably depends on the info. This info would get someone who isn't an exec fired I'm sure. I hate to tease, just saying the stuff I've heard is...not stuff I should have heard. I just hope what I did hear comes to pass in game.

Aside from the legacy system (i.e. endgame/new game+) being greatly expanded on I don't know of any big shocking reveals.

Oh yea it is FAR more than 'oh you can get some new racial choices for classes on reroll'. If they do half what I've heard is in the design docs...it'll blow away the common conception of MMO endgame (at least for the non raiders).

Its enough to get me very excited. James Ohlen's word on it in a recent interview :

Ohlen: We have some pretty exciting announcements that will be coming. I don't think there's anything on the level of PvP, Warzones, space battles or anything like that. Well, there's one thing that might be at that level. Depends on what you like about the game, but it's pretty exciting. Obviously I can't go more into that, PR will kill me.

So yeah, PAX can't come soon enough.

After this weekend, I can definantly say that sith is cooler then Jedi. Their versions of abilities are just more fun. Who wants to throw pebbles / junk / dirt when you can toss lightning at ppl? AA is still disabled, but the game looks much better. but it also runs much worse. Server seems more laggy w/ having random lag bursts. Lots of graphical clippings and black screens for 4-5 seconds when loading into an instanced area. Graphics also glitch randomly and overlap / dissapear

Haha, sounds like a beta build to me. They'll probably just stabilize what they have now over the next month, or i hope. Gotta get ready for those beta weekends!

didn't realize but the Sith Assassin (and the Jedi mirror class) is a dodge tank spec. I wonder if its a real tank spec that will be end game viable or just a alt tank stuff for leveling

I was in the process of ordering an http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834152272 I was going to get it shipped to the beach house we're staying at, but it went out of stock and I was worried it wouldn't get here in time so I had to cancel my order. Lol, terrible timing for something to go out of stock.

Also, now that I think about it, I just pre-ordered it on Origin last week, maybe that helped my odds out a bit.
