I really liked BH but my wife wants to be on the republic side come release so i thought i'd do sithy stuff in beta. BH just had a few minor problems most of which were fixed this build. The story wasn't bad but not great. I did however like it the best personally and i played every class to at least 20. Trooper is kinda better cuz its basically the same but with big guns but the trooper story is all military bs and BHs have cooler armors.
I recommend BH.
whats funny is that last build marauders were fairly decent(minus a few things, heavy armor and a slow start) but this build they are just terrible. I still want to be a guardian come launch but i really hope they fix a lot of the problems it has.
Yeah, I mean it's not a huge issue for me. I'll probably level multiple classes anyways, but lately I've been leaning towards a BH main. From some of the raid videos I watched, they had one marauder that was constantly dying. Maybe it was partly the players fault, I don't know. But I think a lot of it has to do with bosses just seem to have too much AoE and it's hard for a melee to get out of range in time.
If melee characters had multiple charges or ways to close the distance it wouldn't be a problem. But all mmo developers give melee like one charge on a long enough CD that either makes or break a fight depending on how good the ranged class is
Confirmed raid encounter at 10:30 in the video
Spoiler: show
Rift tried to do this with a PVP tree, but you had to give up a tree and gimp yourself for marginal gains.
Maybe in PVP world/warfronts - just reduce the cool downs for charge moves.
I want a Mass Effect 2 charge. Fuck everything else.
where is my invite?![]()
Anyone get a beta invite today?
I keep checking my email right when my phone goes off![]()
I got an email yesterday from the Old Republic and got excited until I noticed it was from an old email address I had used to sign up encouraging me to pre-order the game which I did already but assigned to my regular email addy.![]()
same as Vagrant. kinda bummed no invite.
No invite here either, been signed up since May.
Has bioware even said beta invites would come today, or all just random rumors?
My brother was invited to this weekend's beta, and I got a chance to play for a few hours. Started an imperial agent, and I can't even emphasize how superb the game is. The only bug either of us really encountered was an inability to sheathe our weapons occasionally.
Your mileage may obviously vary.
Invites went out on tuesday or wednesday earlier this week for this weekend. Testing sessions are only from Friday - Monday, and every weekend is an entirely different testing group.
I still don't think they'll get even half of the 1.5 million beta testers who are signed up in the weekend tests, the long term beta group seems too small for them to jump to a much higher scale.
According to some, the weekend beta testers are playing a more recent build. I envy them.
Actually, I don't.
