I mean, there is not a single aspect of this game that I would consider superb.

Combat is Average, Graphics are Acceptable, Storyline is good but not great, VA is good but not great, space combat is terribad, PvP is average. It's very overwhelmingly average on all fronts.

Average for an MMO is 'shit' for any other genre.

Unless, of course, you want to play a Star Wars vidya. Then it's a tough fight between this and Star Wars Kinect.

I can put it this way. I am having a hard time deciding if I want to even pay for this while waiting for Guild Wars 2. I didn't say its a bad game but it's really not great. Poor KOTOR fans don't even have good stories to work with here. Alderaan is pretty though?

I guess I'll be spending more time with my console this holiday season.

Swtor is the result of developers who have no imagination to create a space/futuristic/high technology mmorpg from scratch. It goes a long way in showing how desperate the people who made this game is for money that they have to copy one of the most popular movie titles of all time just to sell it. I doubt anyone would give a care about this crap if it had any other name than "star wars".

Combat is great, in my opinion, in comparison to WoW. The graphics are beautiful, especially when you consider what they were going for (playability). Storyline for the Imperial Agent is on par with other Bioware RPGs, which means it's between good and great. The voice acting is superb (have you seen their voice acting cast?). I haven't and will not play space combat, because it's a fucking minigame, just like it's intended to be. In comparison to, say, fishing in WoW . . . I'm pretty sure it's better. The PvP in SWTOR is—dare I say it?—more balanced than WoW's has ever been.

All of that combined, in an MMO of all things, makes me give the game a rating of superb. This is coming from someone who has been following the game maybe three months and is by no means a fanboy of it or Star Wars. If it's not your cup of tea, that's fine! Do you have nothing better to do than come in here and flame it at every turn? I mean seriously. It sounds like you need to go jack off to a pretty Korean MMO.

WoW is a splendid single-player game that actively discourages socializing and player interaction by making soloing the most efficient way to play. Whatever fault EQ might have, it does one thing right: it encourages community building.

I'm all for breaking content down into smaller chunks so people can get stuff accomplished without having to go on 6+ hour continuous gaming binges... but not by making a MMORPG into a solo-gaming orgy.

The only above average game by whoever quoted me ill pick up this year (for the pc) is skyrim (battlefield will be good, but i wont play it as much).

Saints Row 3 will be the greatest game released this year.

I've seen it, but it require CD install stuff. Iso won't work apparently.

Got to play on a friends account last night for a couple hours. I liked the story, cutscenes and world. The combat itself felt clunky and stiff though. Maybe i'm doing something wrong but i could not get the targeting to work how i wanted. I had auto target on but it would never work unless i was right on top of a mob. Tab targeting wouldn't work for me either.

Your not doing anything wrong, the targeting is crap and auto is broken still, the latest build is just riddled with game breaking bugs
as far as ratings go, its definitely above WoW in my book but that doesn't take much for me. Basically its a WoW clone with better graphics(shiny glow sticks), less content, more bugs and wonderful voice acting(anyone who says the voice acting is bad has never actually met humans outside of the internet)
