Well that's why I said end game content. I do think TOR is a step in the right direction as far as leveling up goes, having the interactive story and what not. And I think GW2 is an even bigger step in the right direction with leveling through Dynamic Events and/or PvP content. That stuff is all well and good. But as far as end game content goes, the raid trash grind is a bore and a lot of people are tired of it. I don't think raiding itself is dead, but I think the approach is outdated and in need of an overhaul.

Bioware has all the time in the world after launch to improve on their endgame. Why does everybody think they have to include 100% of the endgame they will ever come up with at launch? The only thing that is gonna get in the way of Bioware coming up with new endgame is the community. If the community cries for more raids then that what we'll get, because half these tards started at WoW and don't know any better of what to expect. I think we'll certainly see some dynamic event type of content with the first content patch.

Bioware isn't stupid and they certainly know where their faults lie at this point; maybe they'll address them to a reasonable degree and maybe they won't. They can't redo SWTOR completely, but they can certainly make the most out of what they have.

Alright, i may not like things about this game but i pre ordered and i will play it anyway. It can't be worse than Rift: planes of telara, right?

I got to level 10 in rift(i think) and then quit. If I do end up getting this and get past 10 then it will be a bigger success than Rift(for me).

If they did this, then after one more patch (to get rid of all the bugs) I'd join and play it. Assuming they do it at least as good as SWG did.

As for something different I do know that player/guild housing will be making an appearance after launch sometime in the form of guild owned capitol ships.

That's not even remotely the same, because even in SWG you could own a fucking yacht ship and decorate that, on top of player made towns/houses.

Star Wars: The Old Republic increases invitations to this weekend's beta test

While Star Wars: The Old Republic's beta test weekends thus far have been small and intermittent, BioWare hopes to make it up to anxious fans by kicking off a much larger beta event. The studio posted that it is in the process of inviting "more players into testing than [it's] ever invited before in a single weekend" over the course of today in preparation for this weekend's test.

This next beta weekend will take place from October 7th through the 11th and is separate from the ongoing closed beta. BioWare also asserts that players who aren't accepted into this test will have future opportunities in the additional beta test weekends before the launch.

SWTOR beta test invitations will come straight to players' emails and can be verified by logging into your account to see whether the beta client is available for download.

They do realize that asking ppl to DL a 40g client for a weekend is... shitty? One of the reasons I stopped checking the game out after each major beta build was because it turned into me needing to re-dl the client every 3-4 weeks. Now I understand this is a beta and all and needing to re-dl the client is sometimes necessary. But it got a bit extreme and Ive never been in a beta test that required one to do so more then once - twice during the entire beta.

One of the reasons I stopped checking the game out after each major beta build was because it turned into me needing to re-dl the client every 3-4 weeks. Now I understand this is a beta and all and needing to re-dl the client is sometimes necessary. But it got a bit extreme and Ive never been in a beta test that required one to do so more then once - twice during the entire beta.

Everyone invited to the 7th-10th weekend should be able to DL it when they get the invite today, so they have a bit of time. I've now Dl'd the beta for 4 different builds every time takes about 10 hours to DL lol because it seems to cap my DL speed at about 1.5mb/s
