That's what kills me about SE. Having to pay more per character, and now for fucking retainers. Just charge a flat fee and stop being lazy fucks and let us do w/e we want. Make retainers cost in game money and charge a fee to keep them around like with the lockers.

WoW is 100% based on EverQuest (their 3 biggest developers - Pardo, Tigole, Furor, all lead hardcore endgame EQ raiding guilds for years), with visible quests instead of mob grind to level. They shouldn't be in two separate categories - EQ was more "epic" but only because it was hard as fuck early on and people have a lot of nostalgia because of it, Dark Souls reminds me ALOT of early EQ.

As for FFXI, two things I liked most about it were the job system (why hasn't anyone copied this, why did SE use the SAME system in FF14??) and the blue mage job and it's spell mechanics.

Not sure if it's been discussed, but they added a third PVP mode this build, I forget the name, but imagine Rush mode from battlefield. It's a cool concept, fast paced, and frantic, but has serious balance issues and needs some tweaking.

The open world PvP zone or should i say world? shown at the end of the video looks really awesome and fun. Add onto the anouncement that there will be 15 flashpoints at launch and a brief hint at a second operation, my excitement level for this game has increased by alot. I watch alot of beta gameplay videos so i know for sure that i will like the game, never buy into pretty trailers and stuff!

Question for people that have been in beta a while. How are DPS specced Sith Sorcerers performing for both PvE and PvP compared to BHs and IAs?

I want to play a Jedi/Sith because I'm a nerd, but I don't really want to play a melee class because I have a feeling they'll suck for everything except PvE trash like most MMOs. My fear of the SS is that it might be a bit squishy and cast times making it difficult to kite in PvP. Not too worried about PvE too much because of companions, but I'm curious how their DPS stacks up compared to other DPS classes in groups as well.

They are wonderful for both, in fact they are kinda OP for PvP due to overpowered CC moves. For PvE just get a melee companion and send it out to tank and your set. Downside, you have to wear dresses.

press sites were invited to the beta a while back, and tomorrow those sites can start publishing articles on SWTOR. Thats what the embargo is for and thats all he's referring to. NDA for all testers is still in effect until further notice.

I'm actually starting to get a little excited for this game the closer it gets to launch. Though a lot of that probably has to do with there not being much else to play at the moment. But should be a nice distraction at least until GW2 comes out.
