I played pserver versions of this, but there isn't a korean grind MMO around that can't keep me entertained that doesn't have some high rates. At LEAST 100 to keep me entertained, lul.

Someone needs to steal Rohan's source and start pservers of it since YNK fucked it up.

Oh god... i haven't played since... i don't even know how long it has been. Ii before Transcendent classes came out, before the Kafra Shop... I don't even think Niffleheim was in the game yet when i quit. But i know my login info, and even though my chars gave all their stuff away... i still have my Battle Merch, my Rogue, and my Hunter lol. I think the ONLY item i have left is my Wolf Puppy pet that i couldn't give away.

I am gonna check it out if for no other reason than for nostalgia's sake.

I've looked at the differences between servers and it looks like RO was just made to be even more infuriating. No safe limits when upgrading? Along with normal drop rates? Fuck that.

hahaha I never got a GTB card for my 85 LK on Loki. I tried forever too. I remember soloing that shit before the Juno patch when all the MVP's could be solo'd basically.

Indeed, it isn't enough to warrant paying, but there are a few things that make it annoying.

Limited Kafra warps, normal (low) rates, 3% exp penalty on death (1% was a bitch at higher levels), no safe upgrade limit (imagine breaking at +1) and certain cards aren't available.

I mean, it isn't something huge, but it still seems really annoying.

All of the job guides are like 3 years or or more, I'm not sure if some of them are worth following.

Yeah the Kafra warps (or lack thereof are very annoying right now...). I haven't actually even SEEN a Kafra (so far only been to Morroc and Alberta) that even offers warps. Not being able to get wings or Magnifiers as drops kinda sucks... add in that the prices to BUY them are much steeper and yeah... making Z so far has beeeeeen a huge annoyance.

I am mostly playing it just for a bit of nostalgia (LOL MUSHROOM FARM for Thief Quest...) so whatever.

The only kafra warp NPCs I've seen are in Prontera, which kinda defeats the purpose.

HAHA YES! Yeah, I couldn't really remember either until i was warped to the 'farm' then yeah... it all came back to me in horrid detail. Took me about 30 minutes to get 25 points.

Old account info isn't necessary i suppose, since your old chars can't be used/moved to Valkyrie, but can't hurt if you DO remember the login though.

I have no doubt that getting back up to even to close to the level of Gank Rogue that i had 4ish years ago is going to be impossible (without me getting super frustrated).

cards add stat/ability to armors/weapon

Creamy Card: Allows lv1 Teleport (basicly unlimited fly wings)
Vitata Card: Allows Lv1 Heal (awesome for mage/wiz)
Golden Thief Bug Card: makes you Immune to magic (hipvp)
Ghostring Card: Enhance armor with Ghost property (Basicly make u immune to non elemental attack)
Deviling Card: +50% dmg vs neutral property (awesome for lvling)

Seems Prontera and Juno are the only cities that offer teleports and only to their own regions. I figured it out after a fiasco in which I took my Thief to Lighthalzen because a guide told me I should be able to do Metalings only to have them be too accurate for my flee level and hit 10x harder than the stuff I'd been killing up to that point. That trip blew so much of my money. ~_~;
