is it late to start from zero again or do ppl still play the game

I started from zilch last night, Lv14 right now... just logged on.

Never played this game before so here's a few questions.

1. Is the character progression like FFXI and FFXIV (able to change class and reallocate stats/skills for the most part) or WoW (stuck with one class per character)?

2. Is this game craft/farm/grind heavy?

3. What are the game's biggest selling points and flaws?

It's like wow, and the game is nothing but farm/grinding. There is some crafting, but I never got that into it as only a handful of classes can craft (and you're stuck on classes so you'd have to make another character if you want something other then your specific crafter).

The game has a great atmosphere imo and is very addicting. Till this day I might find myself hymning some tunes from the game, and going into a dungeon with some friends and pwning some shit always felt very fun for me. It also has a good pvp system, although I admittedly never got that heavily into it. If you're looking for story though, I think I'd pass lol.

I am going to flat out say if you've never played RO... you probably won't want to. It's old school korean grindan where you click to move. It's just got this nice atmosphere to it and the music in the game is good. Otherwise it's really just there for us to nostalgia wank to since when it came out there weren't too many better online RPGs whereas now there are plenty.

But seriously... I doubt I'd have put so much time into this game if it didn't have tons of music that I enjoy, that's really probably its biggest selling point here in 2011.

I personally enjoy RO because it is like a sprite based anime style diablo. The variety of classes is also nice, and there are alot of things a FFXI player can relate to. Overall it is a fun little game that is much more complex then it lets on to be. I really enjoy spending time in it ^^.
