    Question about mob repop

I recall reading that if a non-NM mob depops (you zoned, or logged out and it was out of its normal roaming area), that the same mob will always repop.

While leveling in maze of shakrami(sp?), I found that I could sleep a goblin, logout and a different goblin might (re)pop. For the life of me, I could not repeat this in Cape Teriggan though.

    Was maze just some fluke?

    (yes, following solo guide)
did search for repop, but mostly PW threads show...

    Thanks

It's not the same exact mob, the same mob spawn just repops. I know mobs can at least repop as a different level, as BSTs use this method to "convert" pets to EM. Following that, it'd make sense if a mob that could potentially be one of multiple variants (beastman mob jobs, as you mention) depopped, then it could possibly repop as a different one than it started.

are you sure it didn't repop the same mob and maybe you saw a different one? or maybe the maze is different, not sure. I've leveled several jobs and subjobs off of beastmen bst, and in some locations where the spawn is shared, (delkfutt's tower, beaucedine glacier, cape terrigan), i've aggrod the bst several several several times. i'd have plvl sleep it and relog, bst would despawn and repop, never would it respawn as it's shared job unless it was killed.

Hmmm I know what you are talking about, certain beastmen mobs fill the same "slot" when they pop, like yagudo drummer and conquistador for mee deegi's placeholders (its been a while might be different yag names) but there can only be 1 up at a time, and its random. So I think that is what is happening.

One thing that occurred to me though, since they put in that "steal" patch so you couldnt steal from the same mob until its killed even if you despawn it....
Does that mean if you steal a coin from the conquistador, then despawn it and a drummer pops... it wont have a coin? Idunno

There are also areas where completely different Mob types share a spawn. Pongopongo Island is one.

If you steal a coin from one mob, and depops it, you can steal from the mob that pops in its place.
As for mobs repopping without the same jobs... I really doubt that's true. I've depopped the RNG mob in Phomiuna countless of times (Testing this, trying to get THF to pop, since they share spot) and it always repopped as the same job, but as said, still able to pop at a different level.

As has been said you can depop a mob and it'll repop as anything within the scope of both the mob type and level range set for that spawn. That means at, say, a goblin campfire in valkurm, you could get any one of goblin leecher/gambler/mugger level 22-25. But, at certain spawns in various places, specific mobs will always repop, with or without the level range stipulation (I forget where but at one bst camp there was a mob that always spawned the same level, no level range, as an example). It's entirely possible this was the kind of thing you experienced.

Yea, it really is different for each mob. Gobs near Kazham will always pop Smithy, Gobs at Yuhtunga outpost will always be Furrier. But take the first floor goblin camp of Delkfutt's Tower. There could be Leecher/Mugger/Gambler, Leecher/Mugger/Mugger, Gambler/Gambler/Gambler etc.

Course, there are also some incredibly random shared spawns. Old Goobbues in the Boyahda Tree share a pop timer with some of the Moss Eaters on the first floor.

It is well known that beastmen of different jobs can share a spawn.

The OP is asking if a mob that shares a spawn depops, can it repop as another job? His experiences in Shakrami say yes. Massimo and myself have experienced this not to be true. Does anyone else have any experiences with this?
