Day 1 pick up for me, can't wait to play this game and I'm ignoring all the previews saying that it's an underwhelming game. Sounds like most of the complaints stem from the battle system.

battle system is basic, I will admit that from what I played of the game. I was very impressed w/ the environments and details, but the battle system was something you see in FFXII. biggest issue was that the ATB guage filled up SLOW as hell. so after you use an ability your just staring at it filling up (dunno if you can change the speed of combat) until you can do another move

The Georama system isn't quite the same as picking a carpenter for the building design and picking just the residents, but yeah, I'll agree that a lot of the foundations of the system do lie in the town from BoF2.

I just always had a boner for BoF2 and wanted more of it. Dark Cloud didn't keep me entertained much, but I have a feeling this white knight junk will. I love me a linear JRPG. :3

Get Dark Cloud 2, that shit is like leap and bound better than Dark Cloud

Dark Cloud 2 was awesome, so was the Georama system in it. The only thing that ever got on my nerves was that there wasn't much freedom at all in designing the town layouts and residents if you wanted to get all the best rewards from it.
